Ok it has Amlogic s802 soc but what box?
is it m8? T8? What? What remote? Not enough info for people to help you.
Seems very odd that the wifi is not funictioning correctly as there is lots and lots people using this rom
the remote I understand but again depends what remote your box has.
if you want to flash back to original rom first question did you dump it? If not you will need to locate a new rom to flash but to answer your question of course you can go back.
There are quite a few differant options but need to know what your box is before anyone can try and advise you on your options
Also are you 100% you flashed the correct rom in op?

codesnake I am not kernel expert but I try to activate kernel config CONFIG_MEDIA_SUPPORT=m.
amlogic kernel 3.10.33 or 61 dont activate with tab space (m, n y). it is always CONFIG_MEDIA_SUPPORT=y
Why dont acitvate and which is it related other config. pls need your opinion

Any news on a 5.0 kodi build for the M8?

And i have another issue. maybe you can help.

I'm using the ARC to play the sound on my soundbar. but when i turn off my M8 the ARC doesn't work anymore on my other divices.
I tryed any combination of hdmi ports. but nothing helps, i have to leave my M8 on to have ARC working on my other divises.

Do rc6 mce infrared remotes work these boxes (with or without a usb ir receiver)?


Also, on the remote that came with my box volume down and volume up buttons are mixed up with home and menu.

They are operating like this

0x10 Volume Down
0x18 Volume Up
0x11 Home
0x4c Menu

But i want to change them to this

0x4c Volume Down
0x11 Volume Up
0x18 Home
0x10 Menu

How do i go about remapping them?

I would like to download OpenElec with Kodi 14 for M8 2GB/8GB (Black Square Box).
I am looking for this in OpenElec web site but I cannot find it and I don't want to download some other versions of OpenElec and try with my M8. If someone already using it for the M8 and tried out with 100% test and success please post the link or send me the right file for M8.

It's easy just download the zip. Unpack, put the three files on a sd card.

Push in the reset button with a toothpick in the av hole. Plug in the power wait to secs. And release the reset button.

That's it.....

No issues for me on RC3....(4.97.3)
