Actually, you can just copy paste the remote.conf from your MAC. Not sure how you do it from Finder (not an OSX person) but if you connect on your M8, you can paste the file in the Configfiles folder

Hi,
Has anyone managed to get a working p2p streams with acestream? sopcast is working fine, but on acestream getting torrent invalid on every link.
Also Is it usual to take long to transfer update .tar via SMB server?

My update takes less then 30 seconds to transfer and that's with wifi. My backups can take over 10mins with wifi and 5 mins or less with my box hardwired straight to my laptop.

I do have m8n with square remote ,when I put ur remote.conf file in config files folder ,none of the key in remote work any idea ?

When I have without the remote conf file ,all works except volume ,context menu Etc.

Does tv headend work in this build ,I installed the openelec addon ,and pvr addon but can't access the tv headend web interface through http://boxip:9981 from my PC .

You need to also install the tvheadend addon from OpenELEC Mediacenter OS Add-ons repository (see tvheadend in Services category).

Is nobody else having trouble waking the M8 with the remote on this ROM then? I have to unplug it every time.

Such problems are hard to resolve without access to the box. Have you tried to re-install the firmware? Try also to wipe data/factory reset.

Ok I managed to update it with filezilla.
My only problem, is I am not getting any sound. First time I flashed it I didnt have sound, then reflashed and got sound and now I did not reflash I just turned the box off and on, and again no sound issue.
any help?

I also done remote.conf mentioned earlier with autostart sh but Now non of the remote buttons work

I did that ,I got that and pvr tv headend addon enabled .but no gui .
