Don't remember about the issue you mentioned.
    The issue was this:

I'm really happy with the Gotham build, I was just wondering if your newer builds helped with that particular issue. I don't use many addons, and I only use Confluence.

So this is the picture of the bad transistor. This is how I bypassed it... this is on MX2

        OpenELEC 5.0 RC1

OpenELEC 5.0 RC1 for Amlogic-based devices is available now. See the first post in this topic for more details.

Let me introduce a new device I have build for - WeTek Play (http://wetek.com). It is a TV box based on dual core AML-8726MX SoC. It supports dual boot out-of-the-box - you can boot pre-installed Android from NAND, or OpenELEC from an SD-card.
WeTek Play could be equipped with internal DVB-T/DVB-C tuner or dual DVB-S2 tuner, and you can easily use it in conjunction with tvhedend to watch Live TV in Kodi/XBMC.

Sorry to sound like a broken record as i posted about this before, but does anyone else experience screen tearing when scrolling quickly through menus? I see this with my m8 box so just wondering is it a common issue.

Yes, there's such issue on both M8 and MX2.

Thanks for the quick reply. Is it something that can be fixed in the future?

Don't understand your question, what is missing?

                    Copy .tar to update folder
                    reboot
Found new tar extracting... message missing Kernal or system

                    Continues boot

I updated my M8 using the same TAR without problems.

                        Ok,
Will try the .zip and do a full, attempted 3 times and re downloaded.
Weird the wonders of the M8

                        Cheers

Looks a great device. The MX dual core platform may seem old to some, but video playback is as good as most and the software is now very stable. I really hope you are getting ample reward from commercial projects like this which rely on your "many sleepless nights".

BTW, I compiled your MXQ code from master today, and it booted fine on my box (Sumvision Cyclone X4) - no wifi, but it's good to know it should work well in future!

BTW, there is a good chance this will work on your box. Are you feeling brave?
