[ROM] OpenELEC for Amlogic-based TV boxes (M8, MXQ, TV110, MX2/G18)

Hi hsia.
I'm attaching an image of the model i have. I bought it with openelec and xbmc 13.2.
I don't know if it helps but in my openelec settings it says:
version: devel-20144402164506
architecture: Meson8-K200.arm

The specs are:
CPU: Amlogic S802 Quad Core
GPU: Mali-400MP
RAM: 2GB

I managed to flash codesnake M8 rom with Kodi but my hardware acceleration does not work. I get either a black page with sound or the amlogic logo.

Has anyone got Netflix working with Codesnakes OpenElec on an MX (g18ref) box? I am running OE 4.97.3 & it doesn't work

Can somebody help my on settings about video output the choice is only 720p and I can't change it.
I try to do the finless 1.7 flash but is still the same please somebody can help me. And some other bug,
with my old box (M8) I was using my tv's remote for the box but now I can't.
My new box is again M8 s802

Got an M8 2GB with OE for amlogic 5.0.3 and since a few weeks back icefilms has stopped working. Streams are starting to load and then stops before there is any sound or video. Anyone with the same issue perhaps with a solution?

Same boat with M8, Netflix not working, on codesnake OpenElec.

As far as I know Netflix plugin (combined with chrome-launcher plugin) is only working with Chrome for Linux installed and this can't be done in codesnakes releases.
Or is there a stand-alone Netflix plugin?

On one of the other boards, I noticed a post from codesnake stating that a version 5.0.7 is in the making that will contain 14.2.
I guess our best bet is waiting for release...

How do I install this on a MX box I have been trying I had 4.2.1 installed then when I went to install the latest version through the update folder that failed and left me with a hanging splash screen. I was then able to revert to my stock chinese firmware from geek buying. Now I used the same SD card that I placed the files on and it will no longer take the Openelec update. This is really making me frustrated because I have tried so many methods and to no avail I cannot get this box to run openelec. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I opened the box as well and the motherboard said "Amlogic MX_403-B_v01."

Yes, you can. What you need to do is set up internet sharing on your laptop. Connect your laptop via the hotels' wifi, then connect your laptop and your M8 via wired ethernet. Otherwise you can always simply plug your laptop into the TV's HDMI port

Hey codesnake, i noticed you have skipped a few build versions although you have been working on them in your github. Do you have an eta for .5.0.8 or is the 5.0.8 in github stable enough to compile for the mx2 ?
