for my tronsmart s89 with 111 i use TWRP Beelink s82b - not compatible with 109k4 onward the only one that worked , try it without install it with sd card method

When i reinstalled 112k4 AFTER flashing back my old 108k4, i havent lost anything this time, no data or apps.. sweet, not sure what i did there to do that.

Trouble with update

Hi Guys,
Im trying to update with this rom. I followed the instructions, i dont think im doing anything wrong... I put the files s82_s89_finless20.zip plus recovery.img on the SD-Card as per instructions, went into the update&backup software, selected the rom and clicked update, it reboots, shows the android with the blue ball in the stomach moving and says installing system update, the bar moves about 1/5 and then just stops and freezes, i had to disconect the power and reboot and luckily its working fine, i then tried the toothpick method and added the file factory_update_param.aml to the other files and got the same result, moves about 1/5 and just freezes. I disconect the power and reboot the box without the card and everything is OK it boots fine... Am i doing somthing wrong ? Im on stock 110K4 that came with the box, its an MXIII 1g/8g . I have re-downloaded the file thinking it might have been corrupted and tried everything again but still get the same result. Any ideas whats going on ?

I am especially register, to say that I have exactly same problem with same device. My SD card is ok, because I am successfully installed Oman's 111k4 from it.
Hope finless can fix this problem in new firmware !

You are trying to install a rom using the boot TWRP from SD,

Install TWRP, then flash the rom (unzip the 112k4 zip, drag the 3 files to sd card, boot to recovery (TWRP) then install, then choose the zip file that will show up, after install select the wipe option at the bottom or you will run into problems like i did.

I'll I will say is if your having issues Fomat the sd card copy all the files after they have been opened from compressed file. Copy to sd the 3 files. Turn off box install sd card. Push in set pin. Press power will pin depressed and it installs with no issues. Have not had a issue installing on m8b. As for new release I can wait this one dies everything I need and don't expect Bob to jump and make new any time new release out. I'll wait it's always worth the wait with his roms��

I think many just delete files on sd format it again it worked for me every time.

But how I am installed finless's 111k4 on stock 109k, but on round 4K device without TWRP ? I think a problem is with MXIII 1/8Gb device...

Im pretty new to this my self and not sure how sorry, i did it from booting twrp from sd, flashing it then booting into twrp and installing 112k4 from there.

i never had settings since 108k4, there are 2 ways i can access it, the mbox settings, other more settings. or on my mouse if i press and hold the scroll wheel widgets/settings appears.

Stuck in recovery and wont flash rom...

So i followed the suggestions on the forum, i flashed TWRP recovery and it went OK, i did wipe and reboot again into recovery to flash the rom, but it wont install, it starts to flash the rom and just freezes in TWRP. Now i have a big problem because the box wont reboot into the O.S. it only reboots into TWRP recovery, i cannot flash anything because it keeps freezing when i try to flash the rom so did i just kill my BOX ??? Anyone can help me ?

you can always try the sd method with reset button or with the usb burning tool witch box you have

1) SD Card update.
1.1Download the firmware, and you will usually get three files: [U][B]factory update
param.aml; recovery.img and one ZIP file[/B][/U].
1.[U][B]2Copy all files [/B][/U](factory_update_param.aml recovery.img, u-boot.bin and one
ZIP file) to one SD card;
1.3 Make sure [U][B]your device is powered off and power cable removed[/B][/U].
1.4 Insert SD card with extracted files in root directory.
1.5 [U][B]Insert a match or a toothpick to Reset button – you will feel a click[/B][/U]. (the
reset button is in the AV hole in the back)
1.6 Power on the box by inserting power cable, while holding the
match in the reset hole at the same time.
1.7 It will boot to recovery and start installing ROM. Good. It will restart when
finished (you can connect with HDMI cable, so you can see the update process
in your tv or monitor)

for the method with usb burning tool you have to download USB burning tool the Rom in *img and flash it (recommended to wipe everything )
