Yes, that sound logical and our T9 have an mature FW as far as I can see...most of us will be happy with this method.
If this FW (v.1.08) is the last 4.4.4 FW for T9 you have perfect recipe for us. If not ( I personally hope to see LP soon) we will need some aditional steps to use OTA for future FW updates combinded with your method.
For now that's the way to go and I will include your method to increase system partition in "Cube T9 ROM/Tools/Mods, etc" topic.

- Based on 1.08 Stock Rom
- Root: TWRP Recovery 2.8.4.0 New, SuperSU 2:49 Pro and Busibox Pro 27.

- New backgrounds, bootanimation, shutanimation, keyboard tones and some ringtones.
- New software added (Printing Devices, Battery Management, Rebooter, Root Explorer, State GPS, Maps, MyMaps & Navigation)
Updated Google Apps (Play Books, TTS, YouTube, Device Manager, Play Store 5.5.12 Mod, Talkback)
Browser replaced with a more advanced version.
Updated and available in offline mode all the vocals.
Unlocked writing on the external SD for apps not conform to KitKat and rewritten the hosts file.

As we are still far from creating an installer for recovery, (I hate to use SPFT if not for emergency case! And then with the advent of repartitioning us we must always remember to use the scatter right) I thought to overcome the problem and shorten time using a restore backup to be made by TWRP.
In fact it is as the software pre-installed on a series of identical machines using a system image appropriately created and since our tablet differs only by the partition NVRAM. (This partition will not be used in XnetfoX ROM)

Only requirement: TWRP Recovery installed
Take before a full backup of your ROM through TWRP (so if you do not like XnetfoX, you can restore your old ROM without losing anything)

Download the XnetfoX, extract the zip files on a microSD or a USB pendrive sure to have this structure: MicroSDRoot\TWRP\T9_MT8752\XnetfoX_eXtreme_13b108

Turn off your tablet
Insert the microSD or USB stick via OTG
Start in recovery mode
choose Restore
Tap on Select and select storage: MicroSD or USB-Otg
If you unzipped properly you read XnetfoX_eXtreme_13b108.
Tap above and you will see the selected components: Boot-Logo-Recovery-Uboot-System-Data
Take Swipe to restore
Restart the tablet

I followed your method for using the Scatter 8GB and I have this error message: "PMT changed for the ROM, it must be downloaded." Have you an idea on what to do for the flash is proceeding normally? Have you selected "Firmware Upgrade" on SPFT ?
Have you deleted the Chinese characters from the folder that contains the rom?

You must use SPFT in firmware update mode (this message appear if you use download mode!!!)

Hi guys, could you help me, please.

I have problem with my Cube T9 LTE, after I tried to load firmware with 8 GB for install app. When I load it, was error; (5054) S_DL_GET_DRAM_SETTINGS_FAIL and after tablet not switched on. And now I have error (4001) S_FT_DA_NO_RESPONSE when trying load stock firmware 1,4 or 1,7. I changed USB ports, PCs and driver. Also advise below Edius didn`t help me.

So my tablet brick now and I can move it to garbage or I can do something else?

Thanks all, I repare my tabled with new SP. But after I try to load with 8Gb scatter and have the ssame error. So I load XnetfoX Extreme 1.4b108, but not happy becouse not enought memory for apps.)

After load new scatter have you exercute wipe factory reset with stock recovery?

I had error when tried load firmware with new scatter - dram error. And after again repair .....
