hammerjoe, lack of updates is TYPICAL on Chinese devices (and not only Chineses...take a look on Samsung products for example).
If a device works well with no freezes or lockups you must be happy for the money you spent.
There are other brands like Pipo that: does not release updates for newer Android releases AND furthermore leaves unsupported products STILL not stable...
So Cube is very very good compared to other low cost Chinese brands!if you appreciate my efforts this is the link for any donation:

what a shame the device with a 64bit processor that will never use its full potential.
one thing is certain cube will not be my choice for further devices.
Even if Cube or MTK does not do 'due diligence' to the T9, I see a stable rom being made with Lollipop in the future.
Why? The T9 has to be up there as far as units sold, and with that volume sold I would think a talented rom builder like R Riley will eventually crack the MTK puzzle box.
I read of a stable LP rom out of Russia, I believe.... but I have a hard enough time with English! 😂Cube T9; Pipo M8 Pro (on life support); LG gPad

That look's like a Never to me....but :
On my OnePlus One phone since I flashed Lollipop I have seen a lot of problems, mostly solved on custom ROM's.
Right now Lollipop isn't a very thrustworthy Android version...Mobile Radio Active bug is a plague that isn't solved even on Marshmallow, with a very serious battery drain when phone is on mobile data.
I'm pretty confused right now: we should blame Cube developers for lazyness or we must be happy with a (not very) old Android version who works flawless.

I agree with Edius:Kitkat is the best android version on the market so far.
So why other guys need Lollipop?
At the moment there isn't ANY limitation on kitkat!
And no instability issues, so don't worry and enjoy your device!
Probably it could be interesting to see a successor of Marshmallow...but now, kitkat is the most stable Android release!if you appreciate my efforts this is the link for any donation:

The Cube T9 has been a lot of help to me in work. I use it for literally everything except coding. I'll like to have a change of ROM though, and I think the best I've seen so far is the Remix OS because it'll increase my productivity. I contacted them and surprisingly, someone from Cube (instead of Jide) replied me to say
Hi,
Our solution company can't provide lollipop so i don't know when T9 or T7 will upgrade to Android 5.0 or 5.1
Besides, T9 can't install remix os
Best regards

Just try to put all these extracted files on the desktop in folders with no chinese characters named ROM/ SPT and must be solved.
L. E Just try to understand what I have said here http://freaktab.com/forum/mtk-based-...099#post404099 and use your specific ROM/scatter files.

I have read the posts and hope someone can help.
I have been using the Cube T9 for about three months without any problems, except the gps cannot get a lock. I have recently tried to write data to the external sd card without success. Is there any way to do this?
The tablet is using android 4.4.4, build number v1.08_20150326.
