Megatron ROM for ENY EM8 and K200 T8 boxes

Hello,

I have a Matricom Q Box. I tried flashing this ROM but while in recovery I get the following error:

E:mount /dev/block/mcblk0pl on sdcard failed (Read Only File System), now try read-only to mount again...
E:failed to verify whole file signature
E:signature verification failed
Installation aborted

Please Help!!!

either format ur sd card or get a new card the box might not agree with ur current sd card

I was able to install the ROM but it installed no Additonal apps? Just the plin rom with no KODi or no android apps...

looks like uve installed a basic factory firmware ...least ur back up and running

have u tried installing plex that might be the better option

I have actually. That was my initial plan but my HP Proliant Microserver is lacking in the CPU horsepower area to handle the transcoding and other needs of Plex. So instead it's used strictly as a file server and I'm letting the end device do the heavy CPU work - that's what I was hoping the M8 would do since that appears to be what it's advertised as.

Cant enter Recovery.

I flashed this firmware and although its nice and works well I want to flash another rom,

Toothpick method, or entering recovery mode via toothpick or the "reboot app" won't let me enter it.

Any help? or am i stuck with this rom?

Hi all, I installed Megatron ROM on m8 box.
works great and installation was easy following instructions.
the only issue I have is that blue light comes on during start then goes off, which is not a big deal.
I need to temp hide root in order to run D3GO app, used rootcloack, hide my root apps, all showing that root is hidden, but when run D3GO app message shows: to watch program you need to temporary or permanentl unroot, VMX:andriod_47

Hi,

Im trying to install your rom on my m8 square box
Formatted sd and copied 3 files across,
Boot to recovery and the install starts, but seems to freeze after a few seconds.
Tried to go manually into recovery and install from ext, select file and then it hangs.
Also tried re downloading rom and trying again.



Can anyone help pls?

I managed to resolve my issue by flashing GEv2.zip updating firmware
I could then flash this rom

Nice boot animation
Much quicker than my old rom

Freezing with no mouse input.

TriedTried today, installed on M8N with wired internet ok, ran into a few problems with some playstore apps not suitable for instance Chrome browser not even in playstore but installed via Aptoid and after installing a wallpaper changer and went to click on it says not installed.Having a few hours of use wireless usb mouse froze rebooted and it happened again within minutes,so restored Mediaman rom ,been running for a month with no problems.

Thanks for you replay, sorry I didn't explain correctly my issue, I was looking for the the folder where lbrtmp is located to update it (Android: /data/data/org.xbmc.xbmc/lib/librtmp.so) but it wasn't created.This is what I found on the Kodi webpage: Sometimes, when websites that host the content for those add-ons change things,a new version of librtmp is needed for the add-ons/streams to work again.

From what I've heard, things are running smoothly on T8. Clock still isn't supported

Is it stable on T8 box ? And is clock issue resolved. ? Any other bug which is worth Knowing before flashing to T8?

thanks danny. did you try the update v2? PM if interested, i've been too lazy to write up another thread for it

hrmm... hide/show status bar can be done within Megatron Settings. off can be done via remote or using Remote Manager app included. see i got your bases covered

Superfreak79 you're a star, this is by far the best ROM iv'e tested on the OTT M8 box. The only thing missing is an update on the status bar ..(hide status bar and off switch) would give it 11 out of 10.
