[QUOTE=cernymuz;41465]I did. I tried both cables out of sheer frustration, the OTG was always used. I tried booting it up already connected, booting up and then connecting, re-selecting mass storage etc. I have zero idea what now

hi, it took me a few times to get my win 7 laptop to recognize the
imito. once I had the mx1 connected properly to the pc using the proper
otg port and made sure I had debugging mode off, connect to pc
selected, toggled back and forth from mass storage to the other option mentioned
in the readme I still had to power off/on the mx1. when the
mx1 was booting up I kept pressing the flash mode button which finally worked. it was a
tough to get it into flash mode but I kept trying and finally worked. the rest went perfect.
my main trouble was I was not connected to otg port - pc USB.
as long as your cabled right and all settings are correct in imito "settings"
power on/off the imito and keep selecting flash mode In the tool and you
will eventually get in to load new FW. I also ended up using my cable from my nexus 7 ttablet to connect to otg port and pc USB. I used the long cable that came with my mx1 to
power the mx1 from the 5v connector to my tv's USB for power.
keep at it !!
good luck

re
First, Thank you very much for great work.
EDIT
Crying for help seems to work. I changed nothing. Just booted once more through OTG instead of normal power port and it finally got through. I guess I just have to keep it running 24/7. I dared to reboot it once and it still works, hurray
EditNro 2
I tried to shut it down and reboot with power comming to power port (not OTG one). Doesn't work. Screen just flickers white and doesn't launch. True OTG it works fine. Maybe a bug?
edit nro 3
Stopped working after maybe 6 reboots. Bricked again. Finless stays white. Imito stops with either of the logos. Firmware update goes always through with flying colors.. Any idea what's wrong with my imito.
Anyway I want to report my problem. I fear it still persists if I shut down imito.
I have managed to brick my imito pretty badly, or it is a bad copy. My problems started when I first flashed 129 version, which got jammed during startup. I had had freezes during startup earlier also.
I have tried to flash it with 129, 1080p beta, finless 1.4 with no success. Flashing goes always fine, but then it does not start.
Using pc tool it alway goes fine. However the stick doesn't start. It gets stuck with original firmware to the text with reflections.
Finlesh flash just flickers flash and jams.
All roms get stuck on boot up. I have tried pressing reset and shortwiring (which i think works just the same). Nothing seems to work.
Any idea how to fix my imito mx2Last edited by haare; 17 December 2012, 17:28.

Thanks so much Bob for the ROM. Works very well.
I did have trouble getting the device into flash mode though. Not the first time I've had problems flashing Android devices with my main laptop (win7 64x). Tried 2 laptops (win7-64x and win7-86x) and both would give an error when I hit the "Reboot to flash mode" button. I did find a way around this and thought I'd share. Reboot the Mini PC and watch the ROM Flash Tool. While the device is still booting the tool will switch to "Found RKAndroid Mass Storage Usb" and as soon as it does hit the "Reboot to Flash Mode" button. The command will be received by the Mini PC and it will put you in Flash mode. For whatever reason I can not send the command when the device is fully booted but while its booting I can. Hope that helps some of you.

NO HBO
Hello and thanks for a great software.
But I have a problem with it,
When I use Nordic HBO app, I get error message that
"Service is not available on this device Because it has been modified"
Do you know how I can fix it? or do I need to go back to original firmware?

I am back with a new ROM for the iMito MX1
I am calling this 1.4 like all my first ROMs. It is made from the latest 11/19 ROM from Imito. This is the ROM that solves the changing MAC address problem.
BUG NOTE:
Well this maybe not a bug but intended by iMito. Anytime the MX1 is booted AND the OTG port is plugged into a PC, it will boot with USB storage turned on! What this means is on boot up you will not be able to see the internal SDcard or the External SDcard from within Android. On your PC you see the removable drives because on boot they are mounted to the PC not Android.
Now you can turn this OFF once booted. Go into settings and USB. You will see PC connection is grayed out.
1) Click it and it will then put the check box in "conneted". Odd it is OFF by defualt even though it is really connected to the PC.
2) Now turn it off and it will unmount the SDcards from your PC and you can now see them in Android.
HOWEVER... Realize next reboot, it will be on again.
In my opinion this should not work this way but at least you can turn it off once booted.
The other work around is to always hook up the USB cable to the back micro USB port not the OTG port.
The back port ONLY powers the unit. There is no data connection on this port for PC.
This solves that issue. But remember the back port will NEVER connect to a PC or allow ROM flashes.
Only the OTG port allows that.

Features in 1.4 ROM:
1) Fully rooted with the latest SU and SUperUser.apk
2) All GAPPs updated to latest. This includes the latest Play Store and GMS Core.
3) Debloated of unusable APPs and junk.
4) Cleaned up the file system so it is not fragmented! Basicly I used linux tune2fs when making the images.
5) I added a reboot APP that will allow you to reboot the device from the Android UI. No more unplugging the unit!
6) Full init.d support has been added! If you do not know what that is... ignore it.
Basically it allows you to install scripts that run at boot time.
If your interested, google search V6SuperCharger for a neat speed booster script.
7) I added the Xbox Xpad.ko module to support Xbox controllers.
8) I added md4 and cifs KO modules.

In the ROM kit there is a read me! This has full instructions for how to upgrade. So PLEASE read the read me!
Here is my Finless 1.4 MX1 ROM:

You can try a APP called OTA Root Keeper by Voodoo. It will attempt to hide root or even temp remove it. Try it and see if it solves the issue.
