Nexbook AMlogic root WORK!

I have finished a modified stock 3e recovery, stock ROM and flashable root package for the Next8HD8G. Files should be posted soon.

The Next7P-8G is next. I don't own of these. I still need some stock dump files, and I'll need a tester or two.

i can help, but i dont know how useful my tab with nothing but the loader portion of the rom is.

I have received the additional files I needed and I have a tester lined up.

If you can still boot recovery from SD card, you should be able to boot my recovery and flash your tablet.

If you can't currently boot form SD card, you'll have to make an amlogic sd recovery card.

Either way, you will be able to fix your tablet soon!

NX008HD8G loses root???

I can't figure out what is happening. I know it was rooted, many different programs said so. Now they all say no. What should I be looking for to help figure this out?

Have you flashed anything recently?

Uninstalled or reinstalled superuser.apk or supersu.apk?

Is su still in system/xbin?

I think I figured out what is happening but not why. If I set superuser to auto allow, got root says no. With it set to prompt, all root apps work. But very annoying!

Sounds like you found it alright. It should only prompt once for each app. Might prompt again after an app is updated.
