Yes I rooted my Next8P12-4G with the method from Italy, but have not rooted my Next7P12-8G yet.

I also ROMDUMPed the Next8P12-4G that is what I am using to compare it to OtaconEmmerich's image.

I also took some system files from the Next7P12-8G and copied them over to the Next8P12-4G and did a factory reset and now have a full Google Play Store on the Next8P12-4G.

But I want to figure out once I root the Next7P12-8G how to extract the certification keys and modify the root.zip from the Italy Patch.zip and allow others to root without the 3G dongle... This is all new to me, I come from a webOS (PrePlus and Touchpad), but when the the holidays came and WalMart had a deal on the Next7P12-8G, I got one for each of my kids... Got the Next8P12-4G to assist me in understanding how to root the Next7P12-8G, also a great price at Big Lots...

Once I get them rooted, I want to shrink the SDCARD, and grow the SYSTEM partition so more applications can work from the tablet, without moving to the SDCARD. Also want to remove the Nook.apk and Kobo.apk as they are wasting space, then update the system/app gapps so then updates do not take up more space...

Also like the weather widget on the Next8P12-4G want to add that to the Next7P12-4G as a stock app...

Seems a few things can be tweaked to make the ROM better...

Once I get that done I will look for other ROMS to port to the tablets (my kids wanted a more expensive tablet), but when you can buy a laptop for ~$250 that can run circle around a tablet, it is hard to justify paying any more the ~$100 for one...

So it seems NextBook/Yifang use spot buying and update on the fly to newer parts during their manufactoring processes... So even though they have one model Next8P12 it has 100 (just guessing on the number) different variations...

I'd LOVE to beable tweak my rom too. 500ish MB is not enough for a system file. 1GB+ would help greatly without the need to play the Internal SDCARD shuffle. A few posts before in this thread, I attempted to post the NextBook7P12-8G modules which I could not (due to forum limits) but someone asked me to post to dropbox...

well since i was in japan last week, i decided to purchace a Novo 7 flame from the airport. little did i know that it too had a amlogic processor and used ubifs.

well anyway i found a support page for the Novo 7 flame, much to my suprise it a compiled twrp image on it. so question is can this be flashed on using the burntool or with the nextbooks buildprops been needed as well.

In Germany is an Nexbook sold as Intenso TAB814, Yinfang, Amlogic MX, Mali GPU, UIBFS,
The Board inside is M805NC. Since some guys where trying to root that device (btw surf stick root works fine) they have bricked too. They have used this Rom. It is ICS, but our Device is original JB 4.1.1

If rooted once you can do a backup by nandroid, this is CWM or TWRP compatibel, but .... same problem ... the device is unknown by CWM AND TWRP.

I have just read this entire thread and wanted to let you guys know that my new next7p12 4gb, serial number YF12120**** came with a USB adapter (female 2.0 to male mini-usb), has all google services working perfectly and charges via usb even though the users manual claims that it doesn't. It also immediately recognizes my Huweii usb modem and connects to 3g nicely...

I was brick for months and finally found this . g810_20120807_v1.0.4(3_files).rar is the name of the file it installs spanish but can be changed to english. just put the three file on an SDcard power volume down and it installs. no sig errors at all

Does this ROM have any custom features, like 1GB apps space?

Is everything (sound, display auto-rotate, power & voume buttons, USB, etc.) working okay?
