WOW that made a huge difference,after changing the adapter I ran 2 tests results were 10770 and 11181.

Chinese made adapters are often overstated. Especially the cheap ones. Just like the batteries.

Any possibilities of fixing BT on this devices ? It's the only thing I really need and can't get to work... it's really strange considering I've got older devices witch could handle BT easily, but on this baby, no luck yet with any of my dongles.

what is the new 2dar4u kernel that i should install with this rom? 720p or 1080p?

if i install 1080p it will work on a tv/monitor that is not 1080p? (i've tv 1080p but also a monitor that is not) or is better to install 720p so that it will work for sure on both tv and monitor?

I usually just aim high on the chinese ones. If I need 2A, I get a 2.5A or 3A. It's better to have extra than not enough. Places like Monoprice usually have better quality control standards over the **** ones, so that might be a start. It might be a few dollars more, but it's worth it.

I'm not saying all are bad, but with my history of buying chinese adapters and batteries, I rarely can trust what they claim.

It all depends. If you saw my post (and a few others), the latest release makes certain monitors not work. When I moved from Finless 1.5 to 1.6, one of my TV's became incompatible for whatever reason. I also tried a few different kernels and a few different ROMs, I think the problem came with the official update that these are built on. For whatever reason, my TV likes the base of 1.5. Which is a bummer, because I like the changes mades to the UI in 1.6 (power options / etc).

Well I kept the original power adapter that came with the unit,but because the plugs were different than my country I had to use a cheap travel adapter so that it would fit into my wall plug,I changed the travel adapter for a better quality one and got instant improvement.

My bad, didn't even realize there was a 1.5 post still. I have a Westinghouse LVM-37w3 in the garage (which is what I use the MK808 for). Since I've gone to the newest ROM's (tried 1.6 and CM10), it won't display on that TV. Just a black screen. Displays on my other TV's. Tried various settings. 1.5a worked fine.

So I want to roll-back to 1.5a and see if it is something in the ROM that changed.

Cifs.ko finless 1.6 rom

Hi All

I came across finless 1.6 rom the other day when trying to get cifsmanager working.


I was getting error “no such device or address” which I found was because I didn’t have cifs.ko loaded.

Having no idea how to inject cifs.ko working I came across finless 1.6, which had cifs.ko module add in release notes. Great

I installed the rom and so far I am loving it but I am still unable to mount my NAS with cifsmanager.

I am getting the same error and when I checked cifs.ko was not loaded and I could not find the file although TUN and MD4 ko files were there.

I had no errors when I installed the rom.
Do I need to reflash it or is the file hidden.


Help would be much appreciated.

Let me know if it works please. I would like to figure out why. 1.5a was scaled up 1280x672 rez. I think that might be it. But I would like to know please as I think there is a solution for you. Thanks!
