MK808 "all models" Finless 1.7

Hi everfrom, i have just a quick question.
Is the problem of the status bar in xbmc solved or not?
With problem i mean the strange displacement that happens when you hide the status bar.
im searching in the posts but i cant find the right one.

Taskbar autohides with xbmc in the 1.7c rom.
I use the Full!screen app from the google play store because you can return the taskbar from Xbmc.

Hay guys got a question about xbmc and this Rom , I've installed xbmc from February with hardware support plus added the playercorefactory file and all works fine mx loads and plays.
It's when I reboot I get no boot loop but the Rom just never boots completely so I need to reflash I've used the custom xbmc to from lewy with the same problem.
Any idea's?

Why use the xml\mx player, this rom has patched libstagefright and the 19 feb hwaccel xbmc is also a libstagefrightbuild.

If you want to use xml/mx player I think you better can use the XAF from march 4(non hwaccel) from

Also Lewy has patched libstagefright in his latest roms.

You don not need libstagefright for the mx player'trick`.

Standard browser crashes sometimes in 1.7c (standard kernel)

I have been using the 1.7c rom for a couple of days and I am very happy with this rom.

The only problem that I frequently encounter is that the standard browser crashes. I reflashed rom but the browsercrash stays.

I used the 1.6 rom for months and on that rom I had never had this problem.(standard kernel or 1.4,2dark).

Are there more people experience problems with standard browser?

Its just what you want.

libstagefright patched rom + hwaccel xbmx feb 19 libstagefright build xbmx = hwwaccel with build.in player so you can use for example subtitlescrapers.

xafbuild + xml/mxplayer let you play all files hwaccel via external player so you cannot use build in xbmc functions

I found the only way to get smooth hd play back was with an external player but get the frozen boot.

Reboot or re-start loses all apps and desktops - Help!

First, I want to say I LOVE this ROM!
Except, if I shut it down, when I re-start or re-boot it loses all the installed apps and all the desktops. I have 2 MK808's and it happens on both of them. I am using the standard Launcher. I have tries Apex Launcher and the same iissue happens. This makes the device unusable, as I can't re-build the stick everytime it re-boots.

Also, on one of my sticks, I cannot turn on WiFi, the "switch" just won't move. I can check the box on the right, but iit doesn't turn on WiFi. Not a deal breaker because I can use the ethernet adapter and it works fine.

Any help will be deeply appreciated!

Strange visual prob?

I ve recently came accross a “problem” (it is not a big deal but i want your opinion guys). I have seen this problem in MX PLAYER (full screen mode) + in some android emulators (e.g neo.emu, gba.emu etc). I am using a mk808B (android tv box) stock V_4.1.1 (not finless Bob), with my tv set.


Chech this video to see what the problem seems to be (The video shows a N64 emulator but the same thing is happening with MX Player in FULL SCREEN MODE !!) :

Check from 15.00 to 15.40, there are ocassionally appearing 3 little white dots on the lower left screen and one dot on the lower right screen. The same thing is happening with MX Player in FULL SCREEN MODE..

Any thoughts what can this be and any solution?

Edit: The people behind mx player code told me that these dots are dimmed Android main buttons (back, home, history).
These buttons can be completely removed from Jelly bean but device manufacturer should apply this changes to their firmware update. So? Anyone is going to implemet this on any new firmware??

The stock browser is really junk in my opinion. I do not use it. I install Chrome. I also use Opera. However your the only person reporting it crashing. Is it on a specific web page maybe?
If I could repeat the problem then I possibly could figure out why.
Do you know how to dump logcat?


Loosing all apps on reboot:
You the only one that has reported this. Something is corrupting /data or the SQL database in /data.
Last time I worked with a guy having this problem it was some root APP he installed causing it. So since no one else is reporting this my suggestion would be to install your APPS one at a time and reboot each time until you find the problem. If it does this every time without even install anything, then something is up with your device.

That sounds odd. Since this seems to be no issue for anyone else, at least for me, it must be a bad download of the rom or something.

The navigation bar icon dot buttons are not a "problem". They are an app-specific feature. App developers choose to use the dots instead of the standard back, home, and recent nav bar buttons. I see the icon dots used most frequently in apps where dim lighting is desired - astronomy and book reading apps. Finless ROMs and Android JB OS have nothing to do with the nav bar button choices. They are specifically chosen by the app developers.

This is were I am now back to 1.6 with the xaf xbmc and mx player plus kiz kernel mk808 boots fine mx loads and no stuttering 720 streams I also feel that the ROM is more responsive but I have had to take a step back from 1.7c a shame really as so much work has gone into it

Hmmm... other don't seem to have this issue.
What are you using to reboot? The reboot APP or the power down icon in the status bar?
