Did you have this problem right off the beginning? Or did you install some APPs etc and then it stopped. Again it should work.
Maybe try reflashing the ROM and try it right away. Just this week I helped a guy solve a similar problem and it was an rooted APP he was using causing the problem with a different Ethernet device.
Also, you are using a MK808 right? not something else? You have to realize some people are flashing this ROM to other devices with the same wifi chipset yet they are having issues. WHY? becasue hardware difference maybe more than just the wifi chipset!

DLink e100 ethernet adapter
Hello,
I just flashed the finless 1.7 rom on my MK808B with the hope that my DLink e100 usb-to-ethernet adapter would work (it wasn't working on the factory firmware) but it still doesn't start. Clicking on the on-off switch for the Ethernet tab (in the settings) never switches it to ON. On my ubuntu computer, the device works fine using the asix.ko and usbnet.ko modules. I have the install CD with the linux drivers for my device but do not know how to compile them for the MK808B. I am wondering if I can get some help here. I have uploaded the drivers to dropbox here : https://www.dropbox.com/sh/cbaoxbegmhmq15m/tbWqlHMweQ
Any help is appreciated.

R: NEW - MK808 "all models" Finless 1.7
Hi bob
It was working on original rom.
On 1.7 does not. I didn't install any app other than gmail and nova launcher..
May be it's the hub usb that is a crap, it's not with power supply so for example I can't connect an external hd..
Can you suggest me a good usb to ethernet adapter that is faster than this one but not too expensive?
Thanks again

I´m hoping to get this to work since Droidmot doesn´t function in games

RK Remote:
I just tested it myself on 1.7C and it works fine. I am using a RK Tablet (Yuandao N101). I do not know if the RK Remote APP works on devices that are not rockchip?
Some notes we know about RK Remote:
1) It only works over wifi! Not Ethernet or 3/4G connection.
2) Both device must be on the same network or they will not find each other.
3) It relies from E-home media center. If you remove that APP it wont work!
4) You must run the E-home media center at least once to set it up.
Re: rd9700 Ethernet adapter:
I don't have this so I cannot test. Please try my 1.6 MK808 ROM and let me know if it works.
I might be missing a driver for it OR it could be the new kernel they did not put it in?
When you say it worked on the stock ROM, which revision? I need to know kernel date and # and well as system date.
If you flash the 1.6 ROM and it works, then you might try using that kernel.img from 1.6 with the 1.7 ROM.
Bottom line I need you to help me figure out why. So I need much more details.

MK808B V1 clone BETA ready
I have added the 1.7 ROM for the MK808B V1 Clone. Consider it a BETA TEST ROM for now. Remember I cannot test this so I do not know if wifi and BT will work!
All the other models MK808, MK808B, MK808B Sunvel Clone are working as desired.
Enjoy,

Hello Bob, I could use the latest kernel (4.1.1) on my dell'Uhost2 MK808B? so I can use TricksterMod and SetCPU without problems and do not have bugs 1008Mhz blocked.
I read that "smog" user has flashed the Finless 1.5 on his Uhost2 without problems and suggested for those who want to flash the kernel dell'Uhost2 on MK808B (uhost2 has rk903).
How do I flash the kernel without reflash the whole rom? I extracted the kernel.img with the kit Wendal rk29tool, I use the ClockworkMod recovery?
Thanks in advance. EDIT: I have Flash kernel 11/03/2013 Uhost2 on Finless 1.7, Wifi/BT not work, I must test kernel 29/01.Last edited by Mandrake2; 25 March 2013, 11:41.

Enjoy,
Bobjust downloaded and flashed your 1.7 on my 808b v1 clone
-WiFi/BT works!! wifi analyzer clocks my signal strength at 25db
-Auto-hide works on almost all apps
- somehow this ROM gets Hulu official apk to work, had no such luck in 1.6
will keep you posted on any glitches.

Using the eth. adapter from geekbuying and finess 1.7 (not a, b or c)
Doesn't bother me too much. Main thing the mouse works straight off, so I can click ethernet off and back on, then it works again.
