I bought MK808b device only to connect it for my Foscam IP camera and to record but it's not working. I also bought IP Cam viewer PRO.
NOw it seems I cannot record as I cannot set the USB storage path. By default its “/sdcard/IpCamViewer/Record folder. I can't seem to change this to my USB or even the micro SDcard folder.
I can't save the screen shot as it says USB device unmount. IN the settings I clicked USB storage and it doesn't show USB device memory etc.
What am I missing ? I should be able to write and transfer to USB drives.
Could you please help me ? I am going insane researching.
Location of USB disk should be :

    /mnt/usb_storage/USB_DISK0/ <name of your usbdisk>

USB disk works perfect on MK808 Finless 1.7c, I use it as a NAS.

What kind of partition do you use?

Thanks so much for reply. I'm using 8gb or 32 gb flash drive. I tried using FAT32 or even NTFS.

I tried manually entering the drive it is doesn't work. When I insert the flash drive i get a message preparing USB mass drive then when you click on the right corner to activate nothing happens. In settings I can't see USB storage as well.

I downloaded so many USB apps from google play. It shows there's USB stick but I can't write anything. What am I doing wrong?

Try File manager from Google play. In file manager up/up and go to /mnt/usb_storage and look if any of your drives show up as USB_DISK0 or USB_DISK1.

        Another possibility is :

Settings / USB / uncheck "Connect to PC"

Ah I didn't think of that. I was just using a 600mA battery pack. Tonight after work I'll try to use the 2A charger, see if that changes anything. Thanks!

I still got issues. I went to file manager and can see the USB storage but still cannot write to flash drive.
The connect to pc is in disconnect mode. The developers setting I have USB in debug mode.
            1) changed to screen shot to be sent to flash drive it says "USB unmount"
            2) wifi signal drops every time on reboot or very very slow.
            3) every time I turn on mk808b it loses my wifi ip camera. How do I fix the ip so that the router captures the camera and automatically logs on?

this USB recording is frustrating me. Do you guys get USB unmount issue although you can see it in file manager?

I never have any unmount issues.
              I have got a MK808 that runs 24/7 with sambadroid/powernzb/ftp.

I don't use WIFI with this generation android sticks. I use USBtoUTP adapter.
Wifi is weak and unstable, search forum for this there are lots of people having trouble with it.

              Do you use custom ROM?

                  +/- 9800 antutu (1080p)
                  +/- 11000 antutu (720)

                  ROM = Finless 1.7c
                  Kernel = 2dark 1.4(+)

                  I use a random white plastic USB/lan adapter from **** or DX (+/- $5.-)
I get speeds around 12 MB/s when using Ftp or Sambodroid, so almost 100Mb.

I use a 2.2A high quality stable power supply.

I did some test with different powersupplys :

                  TV USB port 0.5A ( Philips 37PFL5603D/10 ) - Boot=loop / Antutu=fail / Epic Citadel=fail
                  Samsung 1A phonecharger - Boot=oké / Antutu=crash / Epic Citadel=crash
                  TV USB port 1.5A ( LG 42LM620S ) - Boot=oké / Antutu=oké / Epic Citadel=26fps
                  PC USB port 2A (Samsung R510 AS02 NL) - Boot=oké / Antutu=oké / Epic Citadel=32+fps
                  2.2A high quality adapter - Boot=oké / Antutu=oké / Epic Citadel=32+fps

                  conclusion :

Stable 2.0A or higher powersupply is mandatory for optimal performance with this kernel.

With 1.5A power the MK808 works properly and stable but 3D graphics such as Epic citadel performs a lot less (+/- 25%).

Nice, but i am interested in the USB to UTP adapter you are using or is it a USB UTP Extender that not need any drivers at the stick?

No drivers needed on most ROMS/Kernels.

Maybe slower because its also an USBhub?
                          Maybe different chip inside?

You can get 2dark 1.4 kernel from :
                          http://www.allminipc.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=354

1.5 is in Beta at the moment but with 1.4 I also got full speeds. What software do you use, I noticed that some SMB / FTP server are very slow.
I get 6 MB when downloading with powerNZB but that is due to my 50Mb internetconnection and decoding the newsbinairies.

I also tried this one http://www.polyrisen.com/poly/wp-con...twork-card.jpg but with same result 5-6 Mb to internet, i use Fnless 7c. I dont test speed in the network cant find a AP that can do a test on internel network, do yo know one?

I try the KERNEL on LAN i get 7.5 MB/s but with WIFI it was the same 17 MB/s, i have a 24 MB/S internet connection, why is the KERNEL 1.4 GHz and not the 1.608GHz?

After flash the kernel XMBC could not provide sound, so i was to force to use MX player.

                            Thanks for you help do

I am looking for a fast network adapter too,
Thanks for the link, looks interesting but some say it works with android and some not. Are there any reasons why it wouldn't work with my standard MK808B without drivers?
                              Thanks
Update, I've just ordered one of these adapters, fingers crossed.

Thank you so much mate .. if I knew you in person I would take you out for coffee just to thank you. After editing the usb manually I could write in my flash drive. But when I go to settings-storage .. i still can't see USB drive or it's memory size. Don't know what the issue is. Now that I can write in USB the IP camera viewer transmits very laggy pictures. Could it be the wifi or it's suppose to be crappy in general .. don't really know but the wifi signal strength is really bad .. the wifi device was 2 meters away from the router and it was giving crappy signal.

                                - Would you be able to assist in the IP camera lagging issue ?

I bought this Android stick for a reason. Let me explain a bit.. I wanted to give my dad a monitoring device where he doesn't have to run to check who's in the front or back of his house and can record who comes in or out by using a motion detector capability of the IP cam. He's an old man and struggles to operate a computer so I didn't want a PC running 24/7 just for the heck of recording video from wifi IP cameras.

Then someone in another forum pointed me the MK808b solution where I can record and also don't need a computer 24/7. I recently bought everything (MK808b device, 2amp power adapter(it was already there from geek buying, Foscam IP cameras 2 of them, Android IP cam viewer PRO application)...

All I want is the IP camera's to work on well without laggy and capture video files for my dad. I don't want any apps or other fancy stuff going in there. If Android supported Active X then something like Internet Explorer would assist in capturing the video files through the Foscam Camera's built in function.
ON the computer when I use IE the picture quality is really good and recording speed is stunning.

Sorry for the long message but this is the only place where I got some support the other forums just didn't have enough experts to assist with this complex project.

Edit: My Mk808b sys info are:
                                bought from geek buying
                                Android 4.2.2
                                Kernal 3.0.36+ rjh@metxeon#6
