I really like what you have done for MK802, the wifi definitely seems to work better for me. But my main stick is the ug007 since it has the built in bluetooth for my keyboard. I look forward to you being able to work your magic on a ug007 version.

Hi,

i tried to flash this Rom. I need to use your alternative tool to get the UG802 into flash mode. But that is normal at my PC because i flashed that way every rom.

After flashing it boots to:
"Recovery syste v4.1"
Formatting /data...

and here it stucks.
Nothing happens.
I wait now 30 minutes.

What can i do?

i got the same problem, and done everything U did, but only solution for me was to do short circuit
trick.
after that everything went smooth, and new rom really makes the difference

I have some good news. My UG802 arrived today, but there's a however ...

I'm having real trouble flashing this image. More specifically, I can't seem to get the thing into flash mode. I've tried running through the instructions provided in the image bundle. I've ensured "USB > Connect to PC" is enabled and "Developer options > USB Debugging" is disabled. In the RKAndroidTool the message "Found RKAndroid Mass Storage USB" is displayed along the bottom, but when I click "Reboot to Flash Mode" I receive "Device can not do Flash Mode,because of no drive".

I've also ensured the device is rooted using [1] and installed a couple of rebooting applications; Reboot Widget (root), Quick Boot (Reboot) and Reboot Widget for Root User, but none of them do the job.

Any more ideas? I'm slowly losing the will to live.

Thank you very much.
Problem now: First UG802: USB Power is broken. i have to re-solder it. Should be no Problem.

Second UG802 needs about 10 minutes to get the animated Bootlogo. And that was it.
I reflashed with the short circuit at the two pins and reflashed. Now everything is fine.

I can't try anything now.

Bob mentioned in that thread that this happens if the device isn't a real UG802, but I bought it from in4dealz.com, which is the logo featured in at least one of the ROMs. I do see that there are some recovery images mentioned in that thread, but before I attempt to use them, it would be good to know if I truly have a real or cloned version of the HW.

It's gone midnight here now, so I'll have to pick this back up in the morning.

UG802 II

I bought the UG802 II on DX.COM equal to the link product below:

However, I have problems with videos on youtube and netflix, the picture does not sync with the audio!
I conducted tests with games, AnTuTu Benchmark, and graphic acceleration works perfectly!
Would if I upgrade to this version, I'll get to see the youtube, netflix and other content sites?

i am glad U solved the problem and sorry i didn't explain what is short circuit trick, but i assumed, because U had 1.7 rom (i saw your previous posts ) and there in topic somebody explained how to do it, that maybe U already done it. I had to, even for 1.7 rom

Okay, I recovered using this, then flashed the v1.8 ROM using the flasher.

All seems to be working now - phew!

Hello to all,
I'm new to the forum, and I would like to thank you for all the tips and tricks that every time I provided ...
A special thanks to Finless Bob with this rom seems to have outdone himself!
I flashed my Ug802 taken at Christmas very carefully, because I noticed that the process was much more complex than for the MK802IIIs that I bought last week instead.
Following the instructions in the readme file, flash the rom is done correctly the first time!
Now my ug802 is truly at the top !
Shutdown and standby were before a real problem, and now I can forget these discomforts.
I connected the ug802 to a usb hub with ethernet integrated, controlled by a airmouse RC11, and a logitech webcam C270 ... all powered by USB port of TV only !!!
Everything works perfectly, streaming movies from my nas server (also in HD), video calls with skype, internet surfing fast and smooth, even the camera ... basically everything I was looking for ...
