Also, I just think it's faulty logic to require somebody to UN-Root; in my experience this causes more problems than the alternative.
I can agree that applaing root is easier than removing it especially when it is done by knowlageable persons in this matter which should be in majority in that case.
As to create firmware without Root access it isn't in Wasser style . IIRC there were just one firmware revision where he has used that approach.
I do not remember to many request to do so lately. But as I have said before it wouldn't be a problem for me to intall non rooted firmware by default if update through recovery (update.zip) would be possible to achive super user rights.

There are some problems with remembering certain setting in this firmware.
You could patch this issue yourself by adding init.d script which will set proper display scale.
To do so. First set required screen size with default visual tool. Then run Terminal Emulator and read proper settings from /sys/class/graphics/fb0/scale file.
Now you cane make /etc/init.d script to apply proper parameter(s) on boot.
    For example create file /etc/init.d/00_display_scale:
    Code:
    #!/system/bin/sh
    echo "top=95" > /sys/class/graphics/fb0/scale
Then save this file and change its access rights to allow code execution for "root" and preferably for "shell" users.
    i.e.: chmod 754 /etc/init.d/00_display_scale

Anybody know where the verify apps option went to in Lollipop?

I'm doing a Titanium app restore but it is prompting me every time for Google to check the installation.

The option that used to be in security settings has disappeared.

        Edit: Found it.

        Under Google Settings.

I came across an issue when trying to add the xposed installer.

After reading through a few XDA threads, it said that you had to install the framework and then the apk.

After flashing TWRP in order to install the framework, it stated that it was successful but on reboot the only thing that appeared on the front screen was a mouse cursor.

I'm guessing that this is quite likely more down to a compatibility issue with the xposed framework than anything else.

Anybody else managed to install xposed?

First of all: Wasser You are a lifesaver! Great work!

                  I have installed the beta5 on a ormbsmart S92.
                  4K resolutions don't work unfortunately (tested on a samsung 55 hu8500)
if resuming after sleep the remote does not work
the main menu of android, or the hint for full screen does now disappear

the playback over LAN works good, without any hiccups, but unfortunately only in stereo. If I switch the channels from 2.0 to something greater in kodi/spmc all I get is a static noise. After reset of the sound output it works again.

                  Keep up the good work!

                    Hi Wasser

Thanks for your Lollipop rom - beta 5 is working smoothly for me. Just a few points:

                    1. You fixed a regression from v 2.0.7 to v 2.0.8 of your KK rom by which I could no longer get sound on my old TV. I have the same issue with Lollipop beta 5. Please let me know if you would like new TV/old TV log files.

                    2. Changed Display scale settings are not retained after reboot (same issue as Luxilon; thanks to Gormar for the fix).

                    3. A 'nice to have' would be a power off/reboot etc.button on the navigation bar.

                    4. I'm happy that your roms are rooted by default!

                      Hello,
does anyone know how to install a wasser rom with TWRP ?
                      (I can't using dedicated tools)

When I try to install with TWRP (i have choice on boot or recovery), but on both it said the destination device is too small

                      :S

                        Hi
Does anyone installed xposed framework on beta5?

I have bootloop, but not standard on boot screen - device updates apps, displays starting applications message and then it reboots to boot screen and repeats updating apps...
PS. My device is Tronsmart R28.

I'm afraid I have no sound, I'm using an Onkyo Amplifier with HDMI passthrough
I configure the sound device to HDMI Bitstream,
but I still not have sound with youtube or kodi ...

                            Another thing :
Netflix launch, but when I click on a vidéo, it's load forever and never plays.
When I put device in sleep mode (by pressing power button on my remote) it goes off, but I can't wake it up with the remote...

The ROM looks good, but I cannot get the A/V (TV out) to work!

I tried beta1 and beta5 and all I can get on the A/V jack is some squiggly grey lines. Both times I erased flash and clean installed v2.0.9a first and installed the L image as an upgrade.

I tried connecting via HDMI and in settings under display, HDMI is the only choice for output. Even if I connect the tv out, no other option appears. If I boot it with A/V connected, still no other choice.

                                Am I doing something wrong?
                                Thanks,
