In HW mode it looks as if there are frames being skipped every few seconds.

optical spdif passthrough is not working using mx player (HW = dts and DD , while HW+ and SW = 2 channels stereo)..... probably whoever believes that this rom is great was talking about the video not the audio (the video is truly awesome and stutter free , but the audio , well , as mentioned above)
wasser's rom from 2.0.7 to 2.0.9a were so perfect in audio spdif passthrough using mx player , but unfortunately with video stutter.....
just wondering : does this indicate that lollipop actually eliminates the video stutter? and is it just a matter of time to fix the spdif passthrough issue? truly hope so.......

I did read a post the other day that seemed to suggest that video stutter was always going to remain an issue with KK for all ROM's but that with Lollipop, things were better.
SPDIF was working in MX Player in the stock ROM, so hopefully that will be an easier fix.

yup , the video stutter issue will always be there for RK3288 based players in all KK roms and official KK releases....
master wasser eliminated it in his lollipop rom , but had the spdif passthrough chronic issue (same as HPH LOLLIPOP v0.9 beta by mo123).... but he had the opposite in his KK roms (2.0.7 to 2.0.9a) in which the spdif passthrough was working but with video stutters (same as OPEN HOUR CHAMELEON KK BASED ROMS FOR R89)

Just letting you guys know, 2160p (UHD) works great with RC1. 2160px60, 2160px50, 2160px30, 2160px25, 2160px24 work flawlessly.
With Wasser Kodi tho, the framerate switching seems to forget previous resolution/framerate, for example from 2160px60 to 1080p24 works OK, but after the movie ends it doesnt go back to 2160p60. Still investigating if its TV related or not.
Also having trouble with LiveTV on Kodi. Sorta works in SPMC with RKLibStagefright (but with lots of frame skips) , but it doesnt work with normal acceleration (LibStageFright / MediaCodec) or in normal Kodi. Just for the record, LiveTV stream is 1080ix25 H264 (dunno if it matters or not but here's the info anyways)
This is truly great work Wasser!

SPDIF passthrough doesn't work with anything that I have tried.
Don't know about HDMI passthrough though.R-TV BOX S10, Beebox N3150, Chuwi Hibox, Nvidia Shield, A95X Max

bluesmanuk.... Hi , since a lot of people are talking about how great is mo123's 1.7 version is , but i faced the spdif passthrough issue with it ; just wondering why you are settled with version 1.6 ?
is it because it has the spdif passthrough issue fixed using mxplayer? and is there any huge difference in video color production and smoothness as compared to version 1.7 ?
Thanks bro.....
