Where did you get that information?

      Signature? Signature!

Looks like it will be primarily for improving fps on retina devices, hopefully it will offer us dongle users some benefits as well. I wonder if tronsmart already has the new sdk in hand

Title says it all. No hand holding at this stage as this is really for people who know what they are doing. Note that this is the last of the pre-Alpha releases, intended for developers only. In around ten days I'll post an Alpha 0.4 release with more/some support and simplified installation...

          Download this my file <DELETED>

Flash kernel-recovery.img as normal recovery in your T428

copy the two files from wifi firmware in /lib/firmware folder of your sdcard

copy the file from wifi module in /lib/modules folder of your sdcard.
when you are in Ubuntu load it with the command:
          sudo insmod /lib/modules/rkwifi.ko

          Insert the sdcard

          From Android: reboot recovery

for the graphics part we are working, do not worry.
Thank you. I think this kernel may also work with MK908 because in the Kconfig file, AP6330 and AP6210 points to the same module "rkwifi". But the firmware and the module will need to be copied from Android. I will get MK908 soon.

            Strauzo,

What git repository do you use? Could you please also share your .config file? So, we can make other modules in T428.

I´m going to say right now that the MK908 uses lcdc0 rather than lcdc1 which is why kernels from many other sticks won´t work on it. The source is also rather biased towards the lcdc1 output.
If my work benefits you and you want to help out the cause, feel free to

I hope you can share the steps and some files for compilation. Thank you.

i made also some modification in the kernel source code in my local source.

when my works are complete i can share also the .config and other usefull information.

for now you can use the kernel and wifi module posted by me to have a mini ubuntu sever on your T428.

i not share again the .config becouse i'm testing it also with other source , but don't start up the device. I have to make some improvements but more importantly I want a working version with the source code of Galland.

For now only the soyrce code of Galland have inside the mali stuff

i'm working, but there are some problems in the source code of the mali stuff that create problems on rk3188 devices. Instead on rk3066 work.

Re: T428 Study and Research on Experimental Firmwares

I am playing too with galland sources, who add omegamoon governors and io scheulers, but no luck with them yet, I am using the imito qx1, no bt working yet, and to make wifi work, it requires some modifications in the sources, so when i fixed bt, i will share the config and the modifications in source.
Is nice see a lot of people playing with those sticks

We are talking about linux kernel config and not android kernel config. Bu specially with different source repository.
                        Galland github

                        For Android no problem.

I may try playing with that next. Just was working video jitter at the moment.

Try the nexus rom in the first post. In this rom there isn't video jitter. The video jitter is part of the chinese android rom. The kernel is not related to this problem.

But i think you don't have the T428 but the Mk908

Try with mx player, youtube and xbmc libstagefright version

If you want i can share same videos on youtube in slow motion at 1600 fps in wich you can compare this rom with all other rom.

Search on youtube slomoguys and make your tests
