Strauzo, I have no intention to "compete" with you. Your work on the SDK2 roms is great, I wouldn't be able to do the same. My only objection was that you didn't share your video fix and thus making the whole custom rom community dependent on you. While your work is great, no single person can handle all the requests and different types of hardware alone. I believe that me sharing the video fix can bring your nexus rom to a larger audience with different hardware from the sticks you currently own.

Thanks. As i wrote, i'm happy for you. And i appreciate you and all people that work on this devices.
If some people make my same work, i'm very happy. For this reason in all my previous posts i wrote "you can get my work, modify,share and change name as your work" i don't want be the MAN, i want only standard rom from anyone. I don't like work 24/24 every day and i paid for this reason i want support e bug correction from the seller.

What i want demostrate to this community is only that Rockchip not exist, not make update, and build only one chinese rom full of patch and bug and don't correct. And that rockchip rom for hdmi sticks not are compatible with many apps in google play. And this is not good for users and for developers of apps.


About the video problem, i think that is again unsolved. My and other fix are only workaround. To have a good solution we should have hardware documentation of many components that we don't have. Not because we can't but only because we don't have all the necessary documentatiin to do a serious work. I think also that there are same hardware problem on the rk3188 hdmi sticks.

Also without any kernel modification you can have a rom without video problem. Infact some of you have swapped his original kernel in the nexus rom and the video problem is not present

I have also modified kernel with my workaround for all rom, but there is also a solution only with rom that is better for now.

I read some posts from a smart people of wich i don't remeber the nick name, that had understood this fact.

I don't want chinese incompatible rom and this is the only true fact because i not share. Chinese rom are the death of android hdmi sticks. And i know very well many android hdmi sticks of all brands.

All we want that rockchip make roms fully compatible with google APIs, not only for developers,too for the users can use and take fun of all market app, and we want that rockchip make more open their systems, is a shame that the kernel source that we got is stolen code and we can't obtain it from rockchip directly.

Btw. that kernel also works with BT keyboards. The range with my keyboard is very poor though but that might be a different problem.

that is great news! So it seems there are multiple people now banging out kernels for all combos of support wireless chipsets (RA8189, AP6210, AP6330), resolutions and clock speeds. Great to see.

Also Strauso is still pushing the envelope looking to create the perfect SDK2 clean ROM.

Strange. I got the 'bot but with commands visible as the cache was cleared etc. Took 3 minutes or so to boot. There is a previous thread saying that it is possible to use U4B ROMs http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.p...well-(-CLONE-)

Perhaps it is the format that is the problem? Is there any way to convert an update.img file into its constituent .img files? Or to 'dump' them from my stick? I'm happy to follow instructions to get these files for others.

Cyanogenmod mean complete rom and not only kernel. Rockchip don't share nothing, many many parts are closed source. Cyanogenmod don't accept devices from a bad company like Rockchip. I think.

seems like finless 1.5 had a usb audio out option, but i don't see it in the nexus rom.
i would be so highly appreciative if that were implemented into the next build!

Strauzo - wireless in the nexus seems to pick up more signals in my neighbourhood which is excellent if it means it is a better signal. But I cant use it because neither off my tv's can resize automatically or manually to fit the display on the screen. one is a sony bravia and one is a sharp aquos. So sadly I join the group of people who cant use your better newer roms. im back to your stock repack which is great but not as good.

is not possible that a modern tv don't scale well.....

but try with ro.sf.hdmiscreen.scale= in the build.prop

try with values < 100 the default value is 100

try also with the command
am display-size 1280x720 if you don't solve with build.prop (in terminal emulator)

to reset am display-size reset

all the rk3188 hdmi sticks, have many problems on the hdmi transmitter chip, many on related source code but i think also hardware problems. i have a tv in wich all rk3066 work and the t428 not work.

because this don't solve nothing. We need the help of rockchip to have good / many corrections in the kernel source code, and the documentations and the basic component to make also other roms like cyanogenmod or aosp rom on this rk3188 devices.

Holding us as hostages has created this problem, did you really think that Rockchip would listen to your demands ??

This could have been easily resolved if everyone worked together, instead of a one droid negotiation with the end users as your captives . . .
