Kodi 17 video too dark, any solution?

Hi Guys
TX5Pro suddenly refuses to power on at all.
Stuck in standby with red light only.

Does anyone know what the log means? See Pastebin.

Tried every method including start usb burning tool then insert usb.
It is immediately recognised always stops at 7% with the same error.
Always red light. Never goes to Blue light.
No idea what the error means.

Have you tried flashing with an SD card using the Burn card maker?

Tried that first. The box just will not go into recovery or respond to the toothpick recovery method.

Please add this important info in first post

Please check the SN Code at the bottom of the device, 77 represents Wifi chipset 9377, P5 represents Wifi chipset 6255
Please use the right firmware foir specific Wifi chipset.

If your SN code does NOT match one of thes both version, You might not use them at all. In this case you need to wait until you get an update.

I've used the ota for 9377 model and I don't know if it works as in the recovery I see some errors. In compilation apears 20161112 now. Someone that use the last ota for 9377 can share the compilation and kernel it have?¿

You can try just make sure you have the original stock rom firmware . But why use tanix stock rom there are a lot of good custom rom out there?

Can this img file be also self-bootable from SD?

I am not aware of any ROM that support TX95 and the 9377 WIFI, only the XTMod (by Xannytech) w/o that WIFI chip.

I was looking for a ROM that is:
1. fully compatible with TX95
2. is up-to-date with latest amlogic firmware

TX5 Pro seems to me compatible. Let me know if you know of any others.

I am posting results of the failure i had with this TX5Pro to help others who may get this issue.
I returned box to seller (China) after trying 2 images sent to me failed with same result.
Just received a response from seller that the box has Hardware Failure and it will be replaced.

Still having issues with the SD card getting corrupted - message in the notification bar. Is anyone having this issue? Seems like the next time I turn the box on after to having to format the SD card it happens again.

It's a 32Gb SanDisk memory card.

Would appreciate any help or if it's happening to others!

Also the ram management seems to be poor. Only a couple of apps open but still loads them afresh each time i go back to the app.

Is there a better firmware for the TX5 Pro - 6255 version?

Thanks for your reply. I've had a browse through but not sure which is the best one to go for. Most seem to have some sort of issue whether it be the WiFi, standby, brightness or whether it's compatible with my box.

I wanted to asked , if anyone has updated the Kodi 16.1 ( that comes pre-installed ) to Kodi 17 ?

On playstore I don't have the ''update'' option . Only the '' uninstall '' and the '' open '' .

Is it ok , if I use the option to uninstall first , and then install , through playstore ?

The version that will have come pre-installed will be a fork of Kodi, so you won't see any updates from the store.

However if you want to follow the official path then you simply uninstall the one on the box and then install from the official store source where you will then get updates.

Dependant upon your uses for Kodi though, you may find that 17 is not a generally recommended option.
