Hi, I have problem loading LibreELEC.
My device is TV Box based on S905X.
      2GB/16GB, Android 6.0.1
      I got 2GB microSD card, with LibreELEC.USB-SD.Creator
      using LibreELEC-S905X.aarch64-7.0.2.006.2.img.gz
      prepared it for boot.
Then did put it into TV Box, pushed with stick reset button,
      and plug in power supply.
I saw S905X boot image, and nothing more.
I tried wait long enough time with reset button pressed on,
tried to release it after S905X logo appeared - no difference.
This logo stayed forever, LibreELEC logo or any else never appeared.
      What could be the reason?

        Try this:
        Insert the card.
Go to android play store and download the terminal root app.
Launch the app and type this: reboot update
This will reboot into recovery. If it does not load LibreElec after the reboot then there is something wrong with the LibreElec flash in the card.

Yes it works with S905x devices. Should work with LibreELEC 8.0 but haven't tested.

I can confirm that acestream + plexus working on LibreELEC 8.0

Pinguy thanks for your work, you made my day

Btw...only thing that others must know, you need to go in plexus settings and switch off (Shutdown Acestream engine on playback stop), because if it is switch on it will shutdown acestream engine and you cant run again acestream until you reboot the box.

Thanks for the people confirming AceStream is working, but I have something even better in the works. I am almost ready to release EmulationStation + RetroArch/Libretro for libreELEC.

Been messing around with it and got it working. PSP emulation is working pretty well.

EmulationStation/RetroPie & AceStream was the only things I missed from when I was using the Raspberry Pi 3. Now that I have got them working I have no clue why anyone would get a Pi over a much cheaper S905X device. S905X blows the Pi out of the water when it comes to performance.

                  EDIT:

                  Made a new post: http://freaktab.com/forum/tv-player-...oarch-libretro

Good advice, but one bad thing: my current firmware has no root permissions

                      ?????

So this isn't to do with the packages in the first post.

I made the TWRP-LibreELEC package for the very reason you are talking about. I could never get the LibreELEC SD images to boot so created TWRP install packages,

I want to have dual boot TV Box, with SD card booting to LibreELEC,
without it - to Android (stock firmware). I read it's possible.
Also I read, that on some S905x are problems booting from SD.
But somehow it is manageble. Boot script by Balbes, custom builds, other workarounds...
And I hoped somebody who has same problem and sucseeded, ,
or somebody with good experience using LibreELEC on S905X
could give me advice of best choise.
If it is topic solely on TWRP, I am sorry.

Its all good. Just found it strange you was asking how to do this when the whole reason this thread was started was to get around that issue.

Anyway. I tested running LibreELEC from the SD with version 7.0.3.012i. It works. So something has been updated that has gotten that to work. Use etcher to write the image.

Hi lads! I was using libreelec from sd for month or so and decided to installtointernal for some performance check curiosity and this was bad mistake.... All I got now i black screen no logos of 905x no recovery etc.... Where should I start ? Got 2 files backuped on my sd card with kszaq process installtointernal. These are recovery.img and dtb.img
Will that be ok to place these on sd and reboot box or there is some other workaround?

edit: so far I'm able to boot libreelec from sd but need to hold toothpick at every reboot (crazy) will try to fix it....

edit2: all works like before box running libre from sd and no more needs for button press on startup.
But for some reason I can not get in to recovery from sd or usb. Tried plenty of cards and usb sticks. These M96x boxes are really tough Will probably try install libre to internall again someday but need some rest for now
