I have this box and a major problem.

I was using Kodi last night when it froze, no response to remote inputs. Left it overnight as it was late and I was not to worried. Got up this morning and still frozen, so I pulled the power cable and rebooted. It stops at the T95Z Plus loading screen. Entered recovery and tried a factory reset and reboot, again stuck at T95Z Plus loading screen.

    I have read through this thread and downloaded every SD flash-able firmware and each time I get the following error message;

Can't install this package (Firmware Date) over newer build (Tue Nov 22 20:59:41 CST 2016).

The latest dated firmware that I can find in this thread is dated Wed Nov 9 15:58:51 CST 2016.

    Any help would be appreciated.

If you use usb burning tool you can flash any version over any other version.

I managed to install the firmware using the Burn Card Maker. Panic over.

            Major problem!
I have this box. I didn't use it for some days, but it was still on (probably on a TV-channel on Kodi), so when I was going to use it again after some days, the video only showed a green screen, so I unplugged the power and plugged it in back in. Now when I try to boot it, I just get a blueish light from the LEDs (around the box) but nothing else happens (The numbers/time doesn't show anymore). I don't get any video from it what so ever, and it wont get passed this blue light.
I even tryed to start the box when having the reset button plugged in but it didn't help.

Did it overheat and damage something? Can I get it working again?

              Hello ,

i do not know if is damage, maybe u have a firmware brick. Try to flash the box and see if is working again. Use Usb burnig tool ! read the posts before and u know what to do !

Hey guys. Glad to be here. I have the Akaso T95Z Plus with T5ZP0007 pre-installed. Just wanted to confirm that T5ZP0007 is the newest official firmware update even though there's a T5ZP0010 floating around?

                A few questions please:

When I go to the UPDATE&BACKUP app (v. 2.0.20130913), why is the "Online Update" button missing? See attached photo. It's been driving me crazy. Is that the way it's supposed to look now? Tried clearing it's cache & data but no go.

Also, I have two Play Store apps in your apps manager. There's a "Google Play Store" which has the latest version and there's "Play Store" which is version 1.0. Am I the only one that has this?

And one more thing. When I go into recovery, I can't reboot to bootloader. The system just reboots normally. ( I just wanted to see if the bootloader was locked because I had the intentions of installing TWRP and then noticed I couldn't boot into it at all.)

                Thanks so much.

T5ZP0007 is in fact the latest official update. There are others that are newer but they are all for different boxes or franken builds.

                    OK. Thank you.

Can anyone please help me with the questions I had especially the one about the UPDATE&BACKUP app? Because if I have a dud, I need to return it quickly since my return window is closing. Thanks so much.

You don't go to update and backup. Go to the software update application. It looks like arrows on a blue background.
I don't know about 2 play stores. I know that there are 2 ways to get there but it should only be one play store.
Bootloader isn't necessary for TWRP just recovery mode and root. I don't know if anyone has a TWRP for this device yet though.

Awesome. Thanks. If I go to the System Settings and click on Apps, there are two Play Store apps. (Not revering to the app tray) One is called "Google Play Store" and there's "Play Store" under "P" not G. And thanks for letting me know that TWRP won't work.

I haven't checked on my device but it is probably the same. Give me a minute to boot it up.

                          EDIT: Mine is the same.
Also does anyone know how to keep this device from installing skype, filmontv, twitter, root explorer, and other default apps once I uninstall them. Every boot it seems to install these apps that I'm never going to use.

Thanks for taking the time to check. I didn't realize there were two Play Stores until I installed Nova Launcher. Then there were two Play Stores in the Apps tray. I said WTF is this. Regardless of which one you tapped on, they both opened the recent version of the app. So I disabled "Play Store v1.0.

Don't know why. Did you uninstall any other apps that never came back on reboot? I uninstalled 3D Gallery and Youtube for Android TV (to install the regular Youtube app) and they never came back. Since I use Ethernet, I turned-off the Wifi and EVERY TIME I reboot, the Wifi turns itself back on. I checked EVERY permission in every app. Ended up renaming the bluetooth.apk to bluetooth.apk.disabled. These devices are quirky.

Yeah I guess that I just need to find out what program is downloading the apps. Maybe it is the second play store.

I had both Play Stores running and my two uninstalls stuck. I don't think "Play Store v1.0" is the cause. "Play Store v1.0" looks like a developer error. I wish I knew. I'm sort of a novice with Android.
