I have the same problem wih kodi 16.1 as others have mentioned but spmc works and it's the same (it's literally just kodi). I don't understand why the kodi hdmi thing happens but spmc works perfect for me anyway.

SPMC was made by Koying, who was THE android dev for Kodi. He left because of in fighting with the direction of Kodi. Most of the group wants to abandon Android because of the pirate boxes flooding the market and they feel that doing thus will help save the Kodi name from being synonymous with piracy. They DGAF about Android development.

It's a shame though because some of the android boxes have really good specs and are capable of running kodi ports no problem. Kodi itself isn't even piracy anyway either, it's the certain links and addons that are.

The boxes are capable of running linux too now anyway so if it came to it people can still run that. The spmc fork by koyring actually works perfect on my s905x though. I have had problems with auto refresh rate but I think the xannytech rom has that fix too.

Can you please share a link to that test build with DTS hack? I have the same issue with MINIM8SII (DTS has no volume). Tried all different settings and the DTS hack applies correctly (tried many reboots as well) and still no DTS output in KODI 17 from app store. SPMC has good DTS but i heart Kodi more

USE SPMC, do not use Kodi. SPMC has the proper optimizations for Android that Kodi NEVER WILL HAVE. So please all of you stop using Kodi. If you like Kodi so much, then stop using Android and use the LIbre Elec port that is available for your box instead, as Kodi will NEVER fix the issues with these Android boxes, EVER. There's a reason why SPMC works so well and Kodi sucks so much on Android.

weird issue on kodi 17...audio is 150ms ahead offset to all movies i set 150ms ahead in audio settimgs kindly share advance settings.xml where audio settings 150ms ahead already set..this weird issue starts on kodi 17 final version....
