How to Upgrade Box via SD Card

Download the firmware from Link:

2) Make SD Startup Disk: --制作启动卡

2-1) Install BootcardMaker.exe to your PC, Insert SD card into USB port of PC, then open BootcardMake program;
-- 把BootcardMaker.exe复制到电脑上 ，将SD卡插到电脑上，然后点击打开BootcardMake 程序

2-2) choose disk of SD card, choose file of u-boot.bin.sd.bin(Download path in PC), choose “To Partition and Format”, then click “ Make” , SD Starup Disk ready.
-- 选择 SD卡，选择u-boot.bin.sd.bin这个文件，勾选格式化，然后点击Make，此时SD启动卡已经准备好



3) Copy following 3 files into the Root of SD card:
u-boot.bin.sd.bin , aml_sdc_burn.ini ，aml_upgrade_package.img
--复制下面3个文件到SD卡根目录下

4) Connect TV Box to TV set via HDMI Cable, Insert SD Card to SD Slot.
--通过HDMI接口连接电视盒跟电视机。将sd卡插到sd卡槽里面。

5) Using a toothpick (or Small wooden stick), insert into the A/V port of Box, press and hold the hidden button while plugging power in( turn on the box).
Do not release the hidden button till you see the TV screen of Robert Logo.
--用牙签或者小的木棍，插入到电视盒的A/V口，按住A/V口里面的reset按键，不要放手直到电视机上面显示了开机logo

6) Update will run automatically. When upgraded finished, box will return automatically.
升级自动运行。当升级完后，电视盒会自动重启。

I updated to that new official firmware and it seems to be working.

Only issue is getting temps down. Active cooling would be good but in don't think I can find a usb powered cpu fan that is 1 inch x 1 inch.

My box seems to idle as low as 55c (approx 136f) with the lid on. Playing local media off my usb hard drive doesn't raise temps too much too quick but using kodi to stream content will, and the box completely freezes up at 75c

I found the overheating to be an issue as well so I've gone back to the superceleron rom. I'm using ethernet so no issue giving up the wifi to keep the box cooler. I see someone has requested he update the rom to work with the 9377. Here's hoping...

I am all for the other rom doing the job. I would love it if it caused the system to run cooler and not freeze or lock up, especially when using kodi to stream, which I have also been wondering if certain builds cause issues like freezing or locking up, I use retro mania which is quite big on space...

Using the superceleron rom and watching videos with Kodi for a few hours, temp maxed out at 145F/63C and the box is warm to the touch. Never checked before switching roms but I know on the original that the box was much hotter to the touch. The superceleon rom also fixed Kodi crashes I was having along with the dark video.

I'll have to look for the updated version of the superceleron rom. Wifi performance was good on the one from last week.

I've made a custom firmware from the source T5ZP0032.


please note that this firmware is only for T95ZPlus with 9377 wifi chip!!!

My modifications:
- Added a boot image splashscreen
- Cleanup of preinstalled application
- Fixed Keyboard mapping for ENTER key
- Added TeamViewer AOSP addon (remote control your box with teamviewer)


OTA Option are there so will receive next OTA Update and probably wipe my configs



You need to flash with amlogic bruning tool like other firmwares (choose erase flash(Normal erase) and erase bootloaded)
It take about 5-6 minutes to load firmware....
after the first boot, give 5min to preinstall task to finish, you will see apps popping in your menu. do not connect your wifi or open anything during this time!!

If so, I may have it already from another thread.

The version number matches. Mine has the official t95z boot screen before the usual animation. And Kodi is renamed kd something.

That rom is contained in this thread and is a custom rom created by martbios2k which is based on original stock firmware T5ZP0032. It has minor tweaks only and does not address any of the issues that are fixed with superceleron's rom.

I will give supercelerons' rom a go tonight. Hopefully it works with my box. If not I can always flash back to this. My major concern is the heat my box generates. I can run it with the lid off but it doesn't look right.

That's no surprise since supercelerons rom is for the REV1 board with the AP6330 wifi chip.

I believe the only difference are tweaks with wifi performance but you should ask martbios2k for specifics.

I have T95Z plus, with chip 8830, i installed this rom T5ZP0032 conect to wifi but not work internet. I don´t know why.
