to get passtrougt
go to setting>sound change the output.
do not install any drivers for mx player, passtrought will only work in h/w mode.
try with stock player and gallery app.
and post back.

Hi,

MX Player without any special drivers can now play about 80% of my video files with AC3,
also the standard android player. MX have sometimes problems to switch to ac3, but if i restart the
video most of the times it works.
But no luck with DTS, MX and standard players plays only stereo or noise...

I set the soundmanager to RK29_RK1000Passthrough

1080p res is the default in my lastest kernel. if it causes problem on some tvs i will revert the change. Could someome please confirm this?thanks

I checked 2 other kernels that you posted before, 9-9-13 720p and the 28-8-13 720p. All have this issue.

I have no issue with default kernel in fw 1.2.0 and 1.2.2

But if I flash last kernel (09/10 I think) it adds 1080p/24 /25 /30 to the old ones; /50 /60
and only 1080p/24 is OK, other procude black screen or a error message on the TV about invalid resolution.

The problem is not only on HDMI TVs but also on some PC LCD.

I try also on a DVI TV, but even with the stock fw, the display is totaly scrambled...

1) i cannot reproduce the random shutdown in k-r42, it could be that the hardware is not 100% identical
2) it doesn't work correct because the ir remote is not the same from r-k42, it could be that the driver is not included in my kernel. Does any key from your ir remote work?

Only 480p and 576p modes work for me (like in previous kernel). All other modes give black screens and some horizontal noise lines here and there when the screen shows something.The resolution is still 1080p by default.

i tried all 3 kernels on my ut1 - but i can not get lan networking with it working.

with the prev. the lan was working.

Wow! its really awesome. Most features seems to be working fast and fine on CS918 except for the followings issues:
1. frequent random auto shut down for no reasons (need to power up the set again).
2. Remote controller that comes with the set not working still.

Appreciated and you really make my day ... best rom for CS918 so far. Look forward to your next release of 1080p soon.

I also have a cs918 and do not have any of the random power offs that I used to have in 1.2.2... so I would flash again. Are you also using 2.0.1 with 720p?

my remote controller is also not working at all.
