H96 MAX RK3399 Tv Box 4/32GB

so I just got another h96 max box from gearbest which came with android 7.1.2 already installed and I plugged it in and works fine but I couldn't shut it off so I flashed it with scv1 beta 7.1.2 now I can power it off with remote but my problem is now I can't turn it on with the remote i have to unplug power cord and plug it back it to turn it on.
. I got another h96 max from banggood that came the same exact way so I returned it I thought I just got a defected box but now I have the same problem with the one from gearbest.
. also I have noticed the board inside the box is blue and on my h96 max that came with android 6.0 installed on it is green does anyone have any fixes for this problem please and thank u

I just got mine from gearbest with android 7.1.2 preinstalled, and I can turn it off and on just fine using the remote it came with... I've had no issues at all very impressed with this box. Perhaps operator error?

Another thing I noticed with this box is debugging logging is enabled by default. Unlock developer options by clicking the build number 7 times. Then go into developer options and turn USB debugging off. This will stop your device from running logs of everything, reducing processor and memory overhead. It'll probably even reduce thermal temps some.

Can you write the build number too ? so I can start to look around for the same firmware and make some attempt to solve my problems. Gearbest is totally unresponsive on that.

What you want to pay attention to in your /system/build.prop is this line

If your date is different, than you're not running the same firmware version as me. You can use a root file explorer to view this file.

Are you sure that you can power off and power on the box with IR remote ? Not a sleep (power led turn from blue to red) but a power off (no power led and switch off the USB power, allowing to remove external HDD) ?
Only with an old android 6 firmware I was able to power off the box, but a lot of other things was not working.

im wondering if because the pcb is blue and not green like my other h96 max that came w anroid 6.0 installed is why we are having this issue I flashed this new box with supercelerons scv1 beta android 7.1.2 and after running the box for 10-15 min I could power off the box but then the remote will not turn the box back on only way to power on is unplug and replug in power cord If you try and turn it off before 10-15 min it will just restart also usb port always has power on both of my h96 max when the box is off i have a cooling fan and it never powers off after shut down

Hi Dear. I just bought a TV Box H96Max. I have a problem,when i fixed it to my old TV through AV port by composite cable,It doesn't work.There is no sound and video signal.So i just want to know weather there is some settings in the box.Your comment in this regard is highly appreciated .Chaminda Liyanage

It was powering off fine last night but a strange thing started happening. It won't stay turned off now. When I power it off the red light goes off for a few seconds, then it turns back on. The only way to keep it turned off is to unplug it. A few other issues. My Bluetooth controller doesn't always stay connected. It says it's connected but is unresponsive a lot of the times. I also tried another wireless controller I have, but that's hit and miss too. My wireless remote works most of the time, but sometimes does not work and I have to restart the box sometimes more than once for it to work again. I suspect these are all firmware issues as well. As of right now this box is only good for a media player, but I hope to take full advantage of it with gaming etc at some point in the future...
