my tv-box arrived about 3 weeks ago and came already with the nougat version. Is there any advantage to change to the beta-version rom from here?
generally it´s working fine, i shut down or restart with the icon and not with control
but sometimes the box is freezing, for example when i am looking my sat channels with the sat-ip app (tivizen), but also when i am connected to some german mediathek channels like ARD - ZDF a.s.o.
Is this freezing a problem of the rom? or the players of the apps? or some other hardware problem of the box?
i am connected with ethernet cable and the speed is good (about 95 Mbs)
superceleron - what is your opinion about the freezing?
here some infos about the settings
this is my drm-info

This is my first post on this forum, so - hello!
Thanks so much superceleron . I came to this forum because I could not get my H96 Pro+ DDR4 (generic/unbranded - no Alfawise logo) working 100% with any ROM. Stock and modded 6.0.1 ROM had the screen-too-dark issue in YouTube and Netflix (I believe this is caused by wrong color space? 16-235 not 0-255.) That was fixed in stock 7.1.1, but then that ROM had new problems: completely insecure Root with no SuperSU/SuperUser possible, no XPosed possible, and other root-related issues - like Tasker reporting no Root features.
I came here to write a long post asking how to fix the screen-dark issue because I thought I couldn't use any of these ROMs on my DDR4 box. But then I did a bit more reading, saw maybe it might work.. and it does! One suggestion: remove the "DDR3 only" label? It really seems to work fine on DDR4 boxes!
In case it is helpful for anyone coming after me, this is a confirmation that the following steps worked fine on my H96 Pro+ 3GB/32GB DDR4 Q9377 box:- First I re-installed Stock 7.1.1 ROM as I had a custom ROM (XnetfoX eXtreme 6.0.1) installed and wanted to install SCV2 from a vanilla starting point.
- I flashed SVC2 using SD Card with Burn Card Maker 2.02 - ROM renamed to update.img, all boxes ticked except Erase Bootloader unticked, then boot H96 with reset button held down
- Booted, did initial config, all fine; added my Bluetooth mini trackpad/keypad no problems
- Copied the SVC3 OTA ZIP to an SDCard, put it in H96 Pro+, ran Update app: chose Local Update; selected the zip file; chose Wipe Data; install ran fine.
- Booted, did initial config again, all fine
- Did SuperSU update - first time I tried it said SU was "locked", but after one more reboot it updated fine.
More good news: I was able to update Netflix! The OP said it was broken, but I thought I would try anyway because I knew it worked OK on the stock 7.1.1 ROM. I used Aptoide to update it to 5.3.0 build 19261, which is the newest build by date. And so far it seems absolutely fine - I've only watched a few minutes of a couple of programs, but haven't found any issues, even after multiple reboots.
The ROM feels very fast - definitely quicker than the stock ROMs (both 6.0 and 7.1) when loading and switching apps. I was always a little disappointed that the stock H96 didn't seem as responsive as I felt an 8-core/3GB box should be. Now it is!
I didn't manage to get XPosed Framework installed yet. I got the Installer on there and downloaded the Framework which rebooted to TWRP for installation, but then when I tried to install the ZIP I got a bunch of installer errors. That's not surprising as the 7.1.1 framework is still early beta. I might try to investigate it in more detail later.
Thanks again for all the amazing work on this!Last edited by TheBloke; 02 August 2017, 09:19.

Anyway I think now that this has happened, you need to try burning again using the USB burning software (which is superceleron's recommended method anyway). You need a USB A to USB A cable to do it.
