yes new boxes coming out now are QCA9377 wifi chips...

THIS explains the problems I've been having...although I've learned to deal with them.... I'm still hopeful SC can cook up a new ROM for my NEW box that Rivals the SCV7a you had built for my previous H96 PRO PLUS box! MY family loves that ROM! - It used the 9377 Chip, too! (As I recall, it did.)

no unit to test a qca9377 build on ....

i think he means his Amilogic S912 H96Pro+ with SCV7a , this Box uses Wifichip QCA9377 .

Would be nice if there comes more RK3399 support in Future , want to buy the X99 , looks

interesting .

I think you are all confused... I was questioning SC's comment "well maybe i will get one" - where He states he doesn't have a (RK3399) box.

So I asked, "How are you able to write a program for this box if you don't already have one?".

All of you got stuck on the idea of the WiFi chip.... (6255 , 9377, etc.)

BTW -

SC, What if you could release a nightly build ROM for just Ethernet users - those like me who use their boxes wired through Ethernet and don't use WIFI?

When I was experimenting with my old ALFAWISE H96 PRO +... I was able to successfully burn and run your ROM for the other boxes. I never used WIFI so I never saw a difference with a ROM for different AndroidTV BOX. I suspect RK3399 boxes are so similar, that a ROM for one TV Box will work on another for a guy like me. (WIRED ETHERNET) - Or am I wrong?

• Added SC modded WeOS launcher (menu button on the remote is your friend in this launcher)
• And some other little tweaks and fixes...

Tweaks V1 Enable Backdrop Screen Saver:

• 1. Settings -> Screen Saver
• 2. Inside press "Screen saver" and chose "Backdrop"
• 3. After that go back and in "When to start" choose the time that you want the screen saver to kick in!
• 4. Dont touch "Put device to sleep".
• If you guys want to try it press "Start now"

Bugs V1:

• If you get 848x800 resolution, sorry cant help you... its a bug in the kernel that cant read the EDID from some TV's...
• Don't try Magisk, it wont work!
• The rom is rooted with supersu 2.82 BUT NO supersu app due to some Incompatibilities, and if you add it DONT UPDATE SU BINARY YOU WILL GET A BOOT LOOP!
• Suspend in Power Menu dont work, it powers off the box, but since the boot is so fast in this box i really dont think is a problem!
• I bet a lot more Bugs...

The first 2 links claim to have gotten a lowly S905 box with Widevine L3 support to play NETFLIX in 1080p or Better simply by copying the WIDEVINE Libraries to their boxes.

The 3rd link is software for a ZIDOO box that claims to run Netflix as 1080p through firmware.

I thought you could read his postings and see if they solved the "NETFLIX not playing in HD" issue...Perhaps if someone has, you could port it to your code and bring us Netflix in 1080p or even 4K!

only Roms for same Socs can run , if not too many difference in Specs , a Amilogic Rom can not work on a RK Box .

but is it unpacked as I can reinstall my fimware ???
