Thx SuperCeleron.
I like your h96 pro roms.(912)
But I got no WIFI on my new H96 MAX. (3399)
The WIFI Switch doesnt work, and in the first start configurator it will show no available WIFI networks.
I flashed it with factorytools, first as upgrade, and a second time as restore.
both update methodes are working, but no wifi.
Is that normal? Have you an advice for me?
Thanks.

This is probably going to sound weird to you all. I have a NVIDIA Shield and a current generation Intel NUC i5 Windows HTPC, both of which are more powerful than the H96 Max. But, I bought it anyway. The reason I bought it is that I wanted an Android solution, which I couldn't get going on the NUC, and I very much dislike the Android TV OS vs full Android on the Shield. This seemed like the most powerful/best option below the Shield. I didn't come across this post until after I bought. I am still waiting for it to get here. After reading here, I am a little concerned. It sounds like you need to use a special fork of Kodi for good performance. That's disappointing. Is that still true? Even with those using it, there seem to be problems.
Also, on one other note, I bought this one:
https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA29G6A59304&cm_re="h96_max"-_-9SIA29G6A59304-_-Product
I know it can be obtained cheaper. Sadly, for reasons I won't get into, I have to buy from a list of certain sites, and Newegg is one of them. Anyway, it doesn't actually even say the brand. I don't know if it's Alfawise or what. Is that bad? I initially assumed it would be the same performance as other reviews I have read, but after reading here and seeing how some people's comes with Android 7 out of the box, etc., it seems there could be differences from brand to brand.
