Aaaa maybe that's why ze update didn't work for me.. For me I tried 6 times each time ze box stuck at boot displaying the mecool logo, I finally decided to itch something else instead of responding to the update itch .

Hi, I don’t if it’s your case like mine, but I installed a Mecool M8S Pro L recovery TWRP on my device and I think that’s what’s causing this problem. So since I used TWRP, no matter if I upload a factory image using USB Burning Tool, the OTA update no longer works!

It might be related to the reboot recovery image that I used.

I think I know what the update does. It’s the update to fix the problem from Netflix HD app from opening (error message NW-6-404). It probably has the update so people don’t need to use BurnKeyTool fix.
I don’t need to fix Netflix problem because I already applyed this fix, but I’m just annoyed that I’m not able to use OTA.

One thing that I am sure of this update is that it fixes the YouTube freeze problem. The official YT app no longer freezes any more after the update. Apart from that, I haven't noticed much. (I rarely use Netflix.)

My Mecool M8S pro L fails to update also. Can anyone provide a link to the newest update, 20180803.173707.V0213? Using the OTA method failed me every time I tried, so at this point I plan to use the USB Burning Tool method, but I need the 20180803.173707.V0213.img file. Please help.

I updated yesterday was installed without issue. Not saying this to be a dick more to let you know that someone else has took this update without issue and also to say I see no difference it's not a full OS upgrade still on android 7.1.2 Kernel is now 3.14.29.Fri 3ed Aug 17.39.51 CST 2018 Build M8S PRO L. userdebug 7.1.2 NHG47L 20180803.173707.V0213

fwiw i have two LB version boxes.one updated without issue.checked netflix hd was working before and after.i did update with a wifi connection.the second box was a different story.using 5g wifi it did not find any update.using 2g wifi it found update but stalled shortly after starting download.so connected to internet with lan cable and it updated no problem.netflix hd worked before the update but not after.i had to install the burn tool key and now it is working again.so it suggests to me this small update is to fix issue with latest youtube app and nothing to do with netflix hd issues.why they cant say what the update is for is beyond me."improve user experience" tells us nothing!

Interesting info: so maybe LAN "helps" to successful update.

Just used YouTube app that was on box.i take it auto updates itself.anyway used it for a few minutes and worked ok.dont use it much but another user said it fixed the issue.

For those which succeed to update their box ,would you please post the "Img" file with update LB version
