I faced a problem with the virtual keyboard with this rom.
does not select the letters with the ok button of the control, and the virtual keyboard closes.
Does anyone know how to solve it?

I've already tried. Nothing happens. Sometimes I get the message USB Device not recognized and the device manager show Unknown USB Device (Port reset failed).

Instaled latest stock android TV and wanted to root it, so installed twrp via update app with signed zip but cant mount /system and /data from twrp.

Tried a few other twrp versions and still the same error as with twrp from this rom v 20180311.

Recommend any twrp version i may try?

Which version of the USB Burning tool did you use to burn the image?

None, used OTA process.

now i'm able to use the burning tool.
i chose another usb port and the device get found.

now the box stuck at the bootscreen
what could i do?

i tried to upgrade with this rom with OTA but know my box don't start i have nothing on the screen its black no signal, i tried to flash with usb burning tool with shunt the reset buton but still the same problem so what do you think? is my box out of service definitly?

You needed do a short the two pins for find your device in the usb burning tool?

Hello .. Good night. I have 1 mecool m8s pro w and I downloaded the version M8S_PRO_W-ota-20171017.112143.V0619 and updated by the sdcard and when the update finished nothing appears on the TV is the black screen. I try to make recovery from usb burning tools 2.0.8 and it gets an error when it reaches 7%.

Just download ROM in post 240: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ZKu...p6S74nW5R/view - and follow the procedure I described in post 253...

1.First flash "M8S_PLUS_W 20180622.img with usb burning tool after flashing start your Box., it will be strange but do not worry...

2. Than in PRO W - folder put this 2 files on USB stick (M8S_PRO_W-ota-20180312.181951.V0213.zip and recovery.img) and go to Local update... find this M8S_PRO_W-ota-20180312.181951.V0213.zip file and flash

- or instead of this zip you can download this one and do the local update... - but important part is that zip file and recovery.img must be together on usb stick side by side or you will brick your Box again...
