You probably installed twrp 3.2.3 of Magedanz .But it is for android 7.I edited it and now it is for android 8.For android 8 twrp is here.

No,I've installed TWRP found on your gitub. The problem seems to be the bootloader. if I try to update firmware (older version) with sdcard the update doesn't start.

TWRP starts correctly if I push pin on the back of TV box.

If twrp starts ,then go into it.In it clean wipe cache ,dalwik, system,data .And install any image to choose from your android 8.1 .Android 9.0 while slows down a bit.

I have a H96 Amologic s905X 2/16gb. I am new to this world but also very curious about it. I would appreciate if you guys could share a guide to follow to install Oreo on my tv box. I believe most of the boxes are already rooted. What steps do I need to follow once I download the files and tools that Lewy shared with us on first page ? Does the .img file needs to be modified somehow ? can the firmware be flashed through SD cards ? sorry for asking so many questions, I just want to make sure everything goes smooth without making any error and brick the device. Thanks in advance to you all, especially to the developers which put lots of effort on what they do and achieve. Your responses will be much appreciated

I wish to install an older version (stable atv version).
if I convert img to zip with amlogic tools it doesn't install (error 6 in twrp) so I'm trying with sd card an pin method

CWM Status 6, этот код ошибки произошел, потому что файл Updater-scpript мог не может быть прочитано, поскольку оно не было создано в формате Unix, и ОС Android не смогла установить это обновление.

Решение ошибки Status 6: загрузите и установите программу на ПК NotePad ++, измените формат на Unix и повторно сохраните файл updater-scpript.
А что нельзя установить прошивку Lewy android 8.0 через usb burn tool?And for what burn card maker?So easy to get into a dead end.We must follow the instructions.Other ways i do not know.
If you want to return to the old version of ATV ,then this is only through usb burning tool.

There was a detailed instruction to make android 9.0 for amlogic s905x ,s805x , s905x2 , s922.

Unfortunately, you can't enlist in the Amlogic SDK 9.0 repo from this site. They only approve OEMs.

Thanks for the explanation.I hope that someone will download and finish android 9.0 .And then it starts with me ,but it slows down.I think i edited boot.img here with a patch.Well helped Project Treble.Only phhusson added in support amlogic .Thanks Magedanz.
