This is a message to all users of the Magicsee N6 Max. Magicsee wanted me to inform all users that the issue with the Google login has been resolved and they have released a firmware update for it. Do you have a Strong Contact at magicsee with the N6 design/ device?

IF so, we have some other Priority Bugs that need additional work to be done.

Plus to be in the loop on what to expect, if anything, would be great to anticipate... Or Not

Will 10bit video playing, or usb3 ports be debugged properly,.. and Soon ?

1-very simple;why still "Type-C Port" do not WORK????
MagicSEE told me at the first time,when we started "contacting";they will release FW and fix it!

and yep FW released and nothing change for "Type-C Port"

2-BUGs another history for this box!

Therefore found brand new Shield(here fm our local net market) about $ 226;my counter-offer was
$ 200 for Box+Remote only(no Joystick)

Amazon offers $ 149,well its nice price but plus+Shipping rate and plus our local Custom-Tax(20%)
so prime cost to me around $ 200/210
Not to worth to buy fm Amazon and wait long time(about min.10/12 days but mostly 15/20 days)
Price difference for me $ 15/20 so not much

superceleron i was wondering if any of your RK3399 ROMs would work for this box ? other RK3399 boxes have DDR3 ram this one DDR4 i think that could be a problem right ?

hmm i dont think any of my rk3399 rom will work on this one, as you said different ram and i bet some more stuff.

The latest action may be the their "answer' to a direct question I made..... Calling BS on what they appear to be doing.
So, No answer... Just tweak the operation a little. Whaaa?
I noticed also that NO references using the device. Still obviously Generic Reviews, methinks?

Just looked at the reviews on GB for this device and was shocked.

1. I found 12 duplicate reviews with different names and dates just by reading a few, very unethical.
2. All the reviews are generic and can apply to any device, tv box, phone, tablet or by replacing the device with the word 'tv box'.
3. Not a single review that mention any technical details or video playback.
4. Not a single negative review.
5. All reviews are less than 2 sentences which make it seem to come from a troll factory.
6. Reviews from before the device was available for sale?
7. American or English names for users posting reviews but their English is on the level of a Chinese user posting and not how an English speaking person would talk or write.
8. 'record your favorite shows' - There is no function like that
'The cool thing about using the USB thumb drive is you can take it with you and play your recoreded shows on any TV smart TV' - What USB thumb drive? Notice the Chinese English spelling.
'I am very happy with the product, product support is not to good either' - So this reviewer gives 5 stars even if saying support is not good?
'Box works great, use the Android app for your particular device and monitor' - What Android app?
'This was the least expensive android box I could find and I didn't expect much' - Really, there are tons of devices you can get for a third of the price.
'I bought this android tv box because I bought a few like this' - Where does he get the money to buy a few of them and for what? There are several of this exact same review under different names. Also in Chinese English otherwise it would have been 'I bought a few like these' or 'I bought several of these tv boxes'.

So never trust reviews on GB or Youtube, only ones that are detailed reviews covering video playback and all other aspects of a device on reputable sites.
Most of the time the pictures on Chinese sites are also fake eg. showing pictures of Amazon Prime Video or Netflix even if they don't work on the device or DDR4 being 3 times faster than DDR3 or a device's wifi performance being a lot faster than other devices when in fact it's not.

Just looked at some different tv box reviews and all of them have an average of 4 1/2 stars or 5 on GB.
The same devices on Amazon have negative ratings and 2-3 stars, completely the opposite.

It is fall down funny! Thanks for the look and see, I was pretty sure I wasn't loosing my mind. But, leary of calling a vendor an fnLiar... Kinda of a serious thing.
I've Often Thought GB was cooking the books, or fudging the truth on pricing, or shipping logistics, etc
To me this is on a whole other level, he practice seems to have dramatically increased.
Sad and Pitiful activities.
Unfortunately, even FT, realistically can not evade, nor offer protection from.

Still, Vendor Access to these forums, These Hardworking People... should Require a modicum of baseline respect and business ethics.

They, and any others should be called out about it always... and often.
Maybe disclaimers are appropriate.

I think despite the hack of a hack fw, this device should have great potential, especially in your hands. The only one across the Net, Willing and RK Competent to take up this challenge.

Are you "scheduled" for a GB shipment of the n6?

It is in their own best interest for sure, same with magicsee ... Perhaps they are willing to get you a test unit?

I've rkm mk39 box. N6 max firmware worked out of the box for me.
Vice versa maybe it s worth of checking mk39 firmware.IR Remote might be concern,getting usb tybe remote will work it out

Last firmware (180922) is specific about IR remote,others work well with NEC remote.
