Am I the only one that's seemed to notice, that long pressing the remote OK button doesn't work anymore On the H96 Max X2. it use to work fine on the older devices, now it doesn't work at all, even with a downgrade to 8.1

i never figured out how to get long press working on the custom rom ported over from the gt king, but using the stock firmware from here the long press function works fine https://www.h96tvbox.com/content/6-Firmware-upgrade

You can always use the app "Button Mapper" with which you can easily assign almost any function you wish to many of the buttons of your original remote (or other remotes).
You can assign 3 different actions to each button (for Single press, Double press and Long Press).
Of course you cannot "fix" the Power button (to turn ON your box when it is shut down).

I have to use ADW 2 launcher in order to use the long press feature on the 'OK' button. Long press doesn't work on Apex or Nova launchers

I use the GT King custom rom and I have 2 icons for settings ("settings" and "droid settings'). If I open the "settings" there is another option inside "droid settings" and then "more settings" and then the settings you are looking for (which I can get from the 1st icon at once).
In any case you must first connect to the WiFi and then you can reach the options for "access point".

I have uploaded the custom GT King rom that I use (look at my post #804).
My box is 4/64 DDR4 and was delivered with android 9. If yours is also DDR4 then you will have no problem using this rom.

Have you copied the licence file to USB burning tool???
You can use the USB burning tool that is uploaded to the official site of H96 Max X2 (and don't forget to copy the LICENCE directory - watch the relevant video).

I just did it from another site the download link on the official h96 site is down, everything is working properly, I correctly load the rom ... this list to install, if I can check again, I would like to know what boxes check / uncheck before of loading the rom, excuse my ignorance greetings!

download the video file so as to know what to do exactly (maybe its better to download also the original Rom just in case you would like to go back to the original).
