Did you just type adb devices in Windows command prompt or something else. ... if its not command prompt. .. then what? Will you be kind enough to give me the name. ......pls...

If I were in you I would put on the stock version. At least if the tablet stop working you could use the warranty...

It sounds like I need to check the parameter calculations again. In the meantime, roll back to 1.7 or 1.6 (whichever worked best for you previously). Stay tuned for an update.

Strange how mine is flying on 1.8a and 4gb parameter file tho..

Sorry to ask but you guys are following the detail in the readme step by step? ie erasing IDB and flashing all apart from items 1,8,9?

I just find it hard to understand why mine is working well and yours aren't?

I am not sure what is the problem, however I follow the instruction step by step and still got same problem. When I flash the rom at beginning, the tablet seems running good, the problem occured after I installed around 20+apps and copied some movie file there. whatever 2gb, 4gb or 8gb, I got the same problem. Last night, I flashed again using 1.7, everything well even I installed all apps I need. I also copied some movie files there and without problem. Sounds like the 1.8a problem...You did not facing the problem may be you did not install much apps on it?

Yeah it is strange, I have about 30-40 apps on mine but no movies on it (its primarliy business) I also have an external SD card. Maybe I'm just not using mine as hard, but as i have mentioned 1.8a is the most solid firmware so far for me.

Out of interest.. I reinstall apps one at a time via titanium and only the apps I use, I don't use mass restore or even restore anything that is backed up (data wise) to google. How are you guys restoring?

For me, everythings are new install.

And agree, when I newly flash the rom and run with antutu benchmark, the performance on 1.8a(the marks over 18300) is better than 1.7(around 17500). But the tablet slow down significantly after I installed some apps when I using 1.8a...

However, in the latest versions of Pipo's firmware, I've noticed a slight change in the file structure. They've added a couple of new folders for "their" English and Chinese apps. I haven't looked deeper to see how they've implemented the change, but if you are trying to restore any system apps, you might run into problems.

So, I wouldn't recommend restoring ANY system apps or data via Titanium.

But, if you have an app like Tapatalk, or some RSS Reader app that has your account settings in the backup, restoring those shouldn't be a problem.

Sounds like people are experiencing some freezes after restoring an app that conflicts with the system data, somehow.

Hello Riley,

I would like to ask for your help with M6 ROM. I'm using LUKS Manager encryption program for Android (it decrypts file container and mounts it as a folder; LUKS uses Android CONFIG_DM_CRYPT module).

The situation is the following:
- LUKS Manager perfectly works with your ROM up to 1.6
- Program does not work with 1.7, it says "sh: file not found <luks>" (something like that)
- Program does work with 1.8 (so "luks" executable is back), but system freezes on boot logo on reboot after creating an encrypted volume.

I understand that my question is rather specific, but I really appreciate your help resolving this issue. Currently I'm using your ROM 1.5 and would like to upgrade to a newest version (I was trying 1.8 several times with no luck).

...I've just read that LUKS Manager contains "A bash shell script called "luks" that does volume management.", so ROM 1.7 error message probably occurred because of wrong program installation.

However, any ideas why does it crash the system (freeze on reboot) after initialization?

hey, dunno what hapened but when i changed the device language it rebooted automatically and stuck at the rileyromsymbol.

I'm only speculating...but both problems might be caused by the fact that I didn't leave enough room in the system.img for changes like that. I've never tested LUK (or even heard of it) before.

Since it's been a while since I've updated this ROM, let me look at it tomorrow and see what I come up with.
