      not completely true:
with CPU spy you will see 1.7Ghz if you use a kernel with higher frequency.
Otherwise nothing is visible from CPU Spy.

Make a test with antutu: with ANY of my modified kernels will go over 20.000points.
The stock kernel is always below that.

Switched from claro to low_v2 and speed and stability still good, thanks giouncino. Also tested flashing using flash_image binary directly on device and also works fine.

It will stay the same as script is not changing anything but freg/volt tables. The only way is to check available frequencies/voltages with third party software or adb(or android terminal emulator)+dmesg to detect if mod kernel is working.

Damn... I installed KK at last, now that GPS works with it. After flashing new kernel, Navionics doesn't work anymore, but stops at the start. It worked ok with 1.8 package kernel. Could it be the kernel, or just app problem? Antutu with package kernel was 17000, with these in page 24 more than 20000. I would like to keep it that way...

I don't think it's due to custom kernel, but try flashing back stock kernel and let US know!

Do you mean one in Randy's package, or factory stock?

Gionuncino: Your kernel works like a charm!

I just want you to know that the kernel_kitkat_1.8_cpu1704h_gpu600h STOCK_ddr720_VERY_LOW_V2 seems to work very stable on my M6pro with Kitkat 1.8! I haven't had it for more then 4-5 hours so I can't say anything about the battery yet but it's stable and the Antutu value raised from 19566 to 20944.

                              Boot problem!

I flashed very low v2 kernel for RR 1.8 and now the tablet wont boot. I only see rileyrom logo for a few seconds and after that screen goes black. No luck either trying to get it back into flash mode. Tried removing sd-card and sim-card, nothing.

Any solutions? Before that RR 1.8 was running ok.

Got it to work, don't really know how or why, but after a brief charge I pressed the power button for like the millionth time and it booted and I managed to flash the Claro kernel! I also popped in and out the sd- and sim-cards several times in the process...

Anyways I'm so reliefed because it's my wife's tablet and I already thought I bricked it...
