The next morning when I unplugged and booted up, I noticed that it still said 84%.

Even after flashing a new kernel, and running antutu performance and stability tests while unplugged it still said 84%. I then booted into recovery and the battery percentage there was 88%, which sounds reasonable.

Try using the tablet until the complete discharge, Then charge it again to see if the problem persists.
I think (but i'm not sure) this is due to the fact that we are installing totally new kernels on older and already used system partitions that have already configured battery statistics...

      Flashed kernel_GPS_cpu1704h_VERY_LOW_gpu600_ddr768 - Impressive!

Just few minutes ago I've flashed this kernel: WOW!, antutu benchmark has jumped from previous 19680 to 20912, GPS fixed in 70 seconds, no trouble with wifi and audio volume. Now I'll continue to test if all things are right, but with giouncino kernels and Randy KitKat rom my Pipo M6 Pro WiFi is absolutely transformed in a better one.
      Thanks Giouncino and thanks Randy.

I've prepared a new series of kernels including a new RAM frequency that seems very promising, instead of the "720Mhz" that is not good for 3G feature.
          I'll post them very soon.

These new kernels should fix also the problem of the battery accuracy!

when i use the script for this kernel, my tab will crash down in graqphics-capability, antutu showed me 2000 points less, the whole system is laggy, i dunno why, but this script is not working with m7pro kernel at all, my other kernels that i built from gouncinos scripts are working very well, but this ones not, unfortunately

this is because you set in a wrong way the ram table
the frequency for the ram is composed by:

              "720" "001"
720 is frequency in Mhz, 001 is the mode = stand by for kitkat, normal for Jelly bean

for kitkat, you need to set:
              "720" "256"
256 for kitkat is the normal mode

You have on the script only set mode 001 and 002, you need to set the correct mode for the highest frequency on RAM table!!!!!

this i know, i deleted every frequency but this: [1200000, 720256]

otherwise the script is mocking about the ram table

                but still...

at the moment i am using the script claro_1704 for jellybean for modifiying the current kitkat kernel, there i had also to delete one of two ram tables..

that works, gives me 21100 points in antutu, but still having gps problems...

in the new script i did the same, just leaving 720256 instead of 720001 but like i wrote, very laggy, almost no 3d-capability, 2000 points less in antutu

                this i really don't understand

how many frequencies are written in the kernels ram table? and is there a difference in jellybean and kitkat kernel? it should be only one right? but then it seems to be odd, that the ram frequency is hold constantly at 720 or whatever mhz even when the cpu is clocked down to 312 mhz...

and i noticed, that after flashing the kernel it shows me a red mark in the battery status, before flashing battery was at 75%

what are the differences int the script compared to the ones for jellybean kernel?

Am using m6pro + low voltage kernel. Just wanna inform that with low voltage, the tablet can't give enough power to ext.hdd.

It's not a matter of kernel.
If you try with the stock one, it will be the same.

With le first versions of the ROM I was able to power my external HDD, Now I'm no more able to do so...
I don't know why, probably it's a matter of thresholds of voltage regulators...

I don't understand if you are using my mod kernels on a Jelly bean release.
They are suitable only for kitkat.

The best you can do is to use the script with the STOCK kernel and see how many rows are written in table 8 (ram table), then modify the script to be in line with the stock one.

I use kitkat. But at the moment your old jb script claro because it runs MUCH better. I still don't understand why kitkat kernel with jb script works, but kk kernel and kk script doesn't...

Sure, otherwise the script is stopping with error. M6pro Kernels for KITKAT 1.8 generated from new sources (issue 1.2)

Here in the following are new kernels for PIPO M6pro and RileyROM 1.8 (or Kitkat stock ROM dated february 13rd or february 20) generated from new source files (again many thanks to user maakie), that slightly improve GPS functionality.
This new issue improves stability and will work when charging from off condition.

The user maakie added the Hotplug governor (that can be set with setcpu or other SW), this interesting governor dinamically uses the necessary cores of the CPU and can set them "offline" independently to save battery.

This time I switched from 720 to 744Mhz for the ram in such a way that all these new kernels will make 3G working good.

Here are the files (I don't know why but I'm not able to set an order of the attachment files...):

                            HOW TO INSTALL KERNEL:

1 - Extract the kernel...img you want to flash from the zip file
2 - connect the tablet (In OFF state, NOT STAND-BY) to the PC via USB cable
3 - Open riley Flash tool
                            4 - DESELECT all settings EXCEPT KERNEL.IMG
5 - Click on the column "..." of the flash tool at the height of the kernel.img, browse and select the correct kernel...img file extracted from the zip
6 - Press simultaneously power AND volume + of the tablet until the flash tool detects your tablet
7 - Press "Flash Rom" (DO NOT ERASE IDB)

The process is really fast, when it's complete the tablet automatically reboots. Now you can disconnect the tablet from USB and enjoy better performace and longer battery duration!

NOTE: if the kernel is not stable for your tablet you can try another one. Pay attention that the general rule for stability is:

                            ABOUT CPU:

CPU STOCK (STABLE FOR EVERY TABLET)
                            cpu1704h_1325mV (GENERALLY STABLE)
                            cpu1704h_target_2.1 (STABLE FOR SOME TABLETS)
                            cpu1704h_825_users (STABLE FOR SOME TABLETS)
cpu1704h_VERY_LOW (STABLE FOR FEW AND LUCKY OWNERS)

                            ABOUT RAM:
                            ddr648 (MOST STABLE)
                            ddr672 (GENERALLY STABLE)
                            ddr744 (GENERALLY STABLE)
                            ddr768 (STABLE FOR SOME TABLETS)

                            ABOUT Battery duration:
cpu1704h_825_users or cpu1704h_VERY_LOW and RAM ddr648, ddr672 or ddr744 will give you the best ombinations for battery saving.
Ram set to 744Mhz has the LOWEST voltage (1.2V). For me is totally stable.
Ram set to 648 and 672 are set to 1.3V (Stock, for best stability)
Ram set to 768 has the voltage set to 1.25V somewhere in the middle.

Giouncino, I'm have been using kernel_GPS_1.2_cpu1704h_VERY_LOW_gpu600_ddr744 for the last 4 hours, and so far it is stable for me. Won't know for sure for a day or so, but the previous kernel s would usually have given a black screen by now.

Thanks for your continued work on this!
