May be for better network performance you should increase theses buffer size to something like :

net.tcp.buffersize.default=10240,87380,256960,10240,87380,256960
net.tcp.buffersize.wifi=10240,87380,524288,10240,87380,524288

or 512k for both :

net.tcp.buffersize.default=10240,87380,524288,10240,87380,524288
net.tcp.buffersize.wifi=10240,87380,524288,10240,87380,524288

I used a trick in order to not display extra spaces ;-)

I also find some large buffer config for android :

net.tcp.buffersize.default=6144,87380,1048576,6144,87380,524288
net.tcp.buffersize.wifi=524288,1048576,2097152,524288,1048576,2097152

flashed the Hybrid FW and the kernel and yes it all works as it should, my only complaint is that the icons are a little small is there a way of increasing the size for easier use from the sofa.

i uploaded new kernel for k-r42 revision 2.1. please test and report the results!

ETH works
justXMBC.apk/XBMC Frodo works
WiFi works

But You have to fix audio! There is no audio on HDMI, S/PDIF, analog No matter XMBC or pure sound from system!
Also suspend/resume problem is back ;( "Software" suspend from system bar doesn't work - only from oryginal IR remote, but after this resume is imposible! Both IR remote and "hardware" power button not responding :|

Summary:

• ETH + WiFi works great
• justXMBC.apk plays flawlessly
• no audio
• sleep/resume problem

Is that just the FW with XBMC as its never worked right for me on any rom ive flashed but ive never tried that one.

Do you think i could flash that kernel over the stock fw from bluetimes and it would work?

Hi guys!
Please don't take it as offence, but I would like to ask you to follow the main topic of this thread. This thread is dedicated to K-R42-firmware-by-wasser only. And now we try to find the rison why LAN works and doesn't work for different revision of boards for these K-R42/CS918 device w/o BT with using of THIS firmware and different kernels.
Now I understand why wasser has dessapeared from here for about two days, he is tired of oftopic spam here.
He asked us the questions, but we write everything about HFW, JustXMBC and don't answer to him and I'm not an exception with my another words too.
In this situation we will newer reach any progress.
Lets try from this moment to be more accurate and help developers to do their work for us without irritable reading inappropriate information.

There can be a small misunderstanding - when I wrote about justXMBC I mean justXBMC.apk, that is XMBC application, not Lewy's rom

I flashed your updated kernal and I agree that fixed the ethernet!!!

Problem is I no longer have sound. I'm running HDMI straight to tv (no receiver) using analog sound.

I am running the latest justXBMC as main firmware installed. The sound is fine with justxbmc and its native kernal, but no ethernet. Your update fixes ethernet issue, but I lost sound.

Any suggestions? I haven't opened my box, but I just received it a few days ago, so I'm sure its a newer board.

Im running mine through a Amp and have no issue at all its been working fine, although i have the same issue with XBMC as ive had with every version the audio in settings theirs a error for my amp and when i change to HDMI i get static white noise i have to leave it analogue its also unwatchable anything streamed from my NAS drives but it was all the same with the stock FW.

No, I did not! Only some smaller ~12GB files and many, maaaany online streams

I ran into an interesting situation.
I tried reflashing justxbmc and your newest kernal again, but still couldn't get any audio on my 32" Magnavox (720p). So I was curious and plugged the k-r42 to my newer LG tv (1080p) and I have sound. I tried streaming different files on my network and all was great (more on that later). I took the box back to the Magnavox and I still dont get sound out of it. The tv has 2 hdmi inputs and neither have sound.

In the newest justxbmc firmware(I believe has one of your older kernals) the audio is fine on the Magnavox, so it shouldnt be the fault of the tv.

Also, I noticed every time I turn on the box it seems to get a new ip address
