I chose kernel 1080p 1800, 600gpu 667ddr (but also tried with all stock).
Have you got any advice on this? Actually i'm on strauzo rom (nexus with multiwindows SDK2).
I would like to try finless rom because of frame skipping on Strauzo.

Try to activate in development option an option that maintain awake the device while charging, it must solve the suspension problem (really is not a suspension, only video output is suspended)

WiFi works better if you disable WiFi optimization in advanced WiFi settings.

i looked myself and there is no option in build.prop that the screensaver is default set to off

there is only a option for screen time always on

i think they disable it in the apk itself

and most of the tweaks that people use are bull
90% of those tweaks are making it even worse the better

In fact, i found ro.rk.screeoff_time = -1 in build.prop. I think is related to time to launch screensaver.
I edit to 12000 (This is in milliseconds), reboot, and this not working.

          Maybe someone to fix that?

Yes that is the setting I was talking about. It use to work! a -1 means never sleep.
So this is not the normal Android "sleep" or "screen saver" we are talking about. As Leolas said it must be some kind of HDMI sleep and is new by Minix or RockChip.

              Xbmc reinstall

Hello, I tried the XBMC Minix app with Finless 1.8, it was working great, but I installed too much add-ons so I uninstalled it to clean up the mess. I reinstall it but now the add-ons won't download and Xbmc gets stuck when I try to exit. Is there a way to completely delete xbmc or is there some hidden data folders I can delete?

Nope not easily. I could make a update.zip but then you wont be able to change parameter or install new kernel.

Go to settings, apps, and uninstall XBMC.

                    More tuning to do then.
I'm glad that there are users that have the same experience then me i had almost everything working smooth with 1.6 even via wifi
so i was verry happy with the new release from minix but it was worse then bob came with 1.8 but it is stil not smooth it's stable tho and that is a big relieve
So i'm stil hoping that someone finds a solution

Hmmmm... if you look at the file init.rc you will see I increased the buffer size in one area that I have always done on TV stick ROMs to improve streaming performance. I wonder if this is effecting anything this go around?

Unfortunatly the average Joe cannot edit init.rc as it is in boot.img. If someone wants to test stock buffers I can make a boot.img without this change?

reading on xbmc forums looks like a lot of addon servers are KO so probably the problem is on their side, not your.

Your not going to be able to edit it from Android. Init.rc is in boot.img so you have to take apart boot.img, edit init.rc, then make boot.img and flash it.
