It seems that the problem with my rc11 air control exist only in 1.8 finless rom. I tried stock 007e - quickshot - neomod rom and only in finless my rc 11 is not working good. I flashed twice for the records. what is the file for these drivers? bob please help. I want to use only your rom, as i think it is the best!

That is odd.... I changed nothing from 007e to make a controller not work

it is working but it is not smooth. inside apps like xbmc, settings etc it stucks for 5 sec or more.

Yes. The patched libmedia library was added to the latest MINIX stock fw (007E). Finless 1.8 is based on that and therefore has it by default.

No more discussion then: it's libmedia.so's fault
Where can I find the original (unpatched) library?

when i move the air keyboard, the cursor is not moving in every action. inside apps the problem is worst. frequently i can't move cursor or write.

this happens to me as well with 1.7 rom and logitech k700....mouse pointer is moving with serious lag.

only in finless or in every fw? my problem is only in finless 1.8

installed and working good so far. Switched to the stock build.prop and put the new MINIX xbmc beta on. Seems to work well.

I guess passthrough it is possible since no royalties are applied. The player "copies" the digital audio stream from the movie file to the sound device; if the device is set as "passthrough", the digital audio stream goes out the Minix.

Exactly. Royalties apply only if the bitstream is decoded. Passthrough just "passes through" the digital stream unaltered to the sound output device. That's why e.g. volume controls can't be applied to sound in passthrough mode.

The consequence: The stock video player (and e.g. MX Player without the custom codec) are only able to play DTS soundtracks in passthrough mode.

The reason I ask is because stafstrom posted a note in another forum claiming that there is no API calls for applications to actually allow an unaltered stream to be passed to the sound output device. But putting the medialib.so fix aside, it sounds to me like passthrough has already been partly solved then by Minix and RC in the actual firmware since it works ok in the stock player.

Ok, I haven´t looked into it deep enough to land in a conclusion if he made the reference only in relationship to XBMC and how it plays streams, but I assumed that he did not and was pointing to the actual APIs of Android in general not supporting passthrough.

So, unless the stock player and the MX player without the custom codec actually uses unsupported API calls to play these passthrough sound files, then there is already support built into both Android and the X7 to support it?

And if they do indeed use unsupported API calls. Maybe that way to solve the passthrough on the X7 is a better way of solving it all together instead of a modified medialib.so that only introduces more "alterations" of the Minix version of the OS? Why solve the same problem twice - especially if it has been working great with the MX player /stock player for a long time already.
