If you are going to bring your X7 to bed, you have to bring to bed you coursor first. What king of remote do you using? My A1 airmouse has a Android Button which fixes the coursor and then the X7 will fall in a sweet deep sleep.

no 1080p option with 1080p kernel

Hi, great rom. I flashed the default and an oc 1080 kernel just to confirm what I am seeing. Under display I only have 720p and 420p options. There is no 1080p option. Any idea why this should be so?

Your TV's EDID info must not be reporting it is 1080P capable is my best guys.

shadows/color reproduction

Hey Bob, I finally got to try this on my t428 over the weekend and it worked great. however, as with all previous finless roms I found an issue with the color reproduction and shadows/dark scenes. At first I thought it was the movie download but once I switched over to HFW by lewey the problem went away. For me its really noticeable in darker lit scenes where things are very hard to see. When I went over to HFW the shadowing was totally fine. It's kind of like going from 128 bit color to 256. I'm not sure if anyone else has noticed something similar but I highly recommend you try finless then HFW on a video file with a dark scene to see for yourself. my current test is this (very funny) movie: http://yify-torrents.com/movie/The_To_Do_List_2013 at around 9-10 minutes there is a darkly lit bedroom scene and it is barely visible on finless. this applies to both t428 roms and x7 ones that I use on the stick. no clue why there would be a difference but I find it to be very noticeable. thanks for your efforts though - it is as always incredible appreciated!

I also have the same problem with the color reproduction and shadows/dark scenes. Things are very hard to see. In both 1.7 and 1.8 ROMs.

Are you sure these devices aren't actually sending 1080i to your TV?

Quite positive that they are sending as well as it being displayed. Verified both by On Screen display as well as an "xwininfo" from the linux box. I have had this TV a while. I have run multiple setups on it, from linux boxes, to xbmc, to 360 elite(the one with HDMI out).

I do not know what to say for your condition. Nothing I did should have changed that. I do not know what Minix version Lewy's ROM was made from but if it's an older version this might explain it. Maybe try his kernel with my ROM and see if you get the same thing. If so, at least we know it's not the kernel.

Thanks RohliBoy - I think I understand what your are saying with "you have to bring to bed you coursor first". Meaning, the cursor must be completely still or the unit will wake up, or the unit will not sleep.
I ran some tests last evening, and what I was able to do was to first physically turn off my optical USB mouse, then use the Minix remote to "put the unit to sleep". Only then did the X7 truly sleep.

I think I will get an airmouse as well but need to investigate, as you said, "the android button" and what it does.

Sorry, was this directed at me or the person having trouble detecting their resolution? The color/shadow problem has been occurring with all finless roms I've tried for both t428 and x7. Multiple kernels were mixed /matched as well.

I'm using the latest 1080p OC kernels from Bob on latest justxbmc 1.2.2, 1080p works fine here on the two different TV sets in our home.

Thanks RohliBoy - I think I understand what your are saying with "you have to bring to bed you coursor first".

Its german english.
The Android Button (it looks like the Android figure) is the button between the left and the right mouse button on (almost) every airmouse. He activates or deactivates the cursor. So the X7 will not give you an reaction if the cursor is deactivated and you are shaking the airmouse.

I have Hulu Plus latest working on this ROM. However, CBS application is re-booting this device and another app which I can't recall is also re-booting as well. Most of the other multimedia app are working for me. Someone might want to take a deeper into this issue? Really like the ROM!

Are you sure its the latest Hulu version?? Please check the version no
in the app screen. Only the 2.6 version worked so far. Have you test throughly?? The latest version still can run...but once it hits the advertisement, the X7 will crash or restart.
