Is there any explanation for this?

When I try to flash with NEOrom the device reboots during flash and it becomes a unrecognized USB device, where as if I flash this kitkat rom with finless flash tool it goes all the way through. I tried flashing a 4.2.2 rom with this flash tool and it failed as well.
I think you have to erase IDB in KitKat finless tool and after that you can try to flash JB again but with booloader otherwise you can brick. I made the same mistake and have to do nand short pin method to enter mask mode.

I did try erasing IDB with the finless kitkat tool then flashing through the other neomode rom's flashing tool with 1.20 bootloader but it gave me the same problem as before. The device becomes unrecognized and I have to short the NAND pins and reflash finless kitkat rom to bring the device back to life (it won't even flash stock rom with rockchip batch tool). After flashing kitkat rom, I am able to flash the stock rom (2.07 Bootloader) with the batch tool but I'm never able to flash neomode's roms (1.20 Bootloader).

I had the same problem, but then i downloaded the stock firmware from rikomagic, flashed it. And after that i could flash neomodes rom again.

Remember to install the correct drivers. If not successful, try another pc (worked for me)

There is no Sound device manager on this ROM! So no support for audio USB interface.

That is the 1st ROM I see for TV Stick that doesn't have that.

I have to go back on 1.6b

But other than that, that was a good ROM!

Is there cifs.ko for this rom?

Has anyone found cifs.ko module for this rom? It seems to be not compiled into kernel (I don't see cifs in /proc/filesystems), and /system/lib/modules/cifs.ko doesn't exists. I tried to use cifs.ko from 4.3 but without success.

I'm currently using this ROM with Darrell's kernal on my Tronsmart MK908ii. I just ran a broadband speed test and got ~2mb/s. I used the same app on my phone and got ~20mb/s (galaxy s4).

Both are in the same room using the same WiFi. Can anyone explain the Android TVs poor score??

There could be lots of explanations...

Someone else was using bandwidth at the time your stick did the test. The stick is behind an electronic device (ie TV). They are using different frequency bands. They are connected with different rates. The engineers behind the stick did not have the same radio budget as Samsung.

                The list really goes on...

                Signature? Signature!

I was able to successfully flash this ROM on my MK908. The display is bigger than the TV and I need to reduce the scale. On previous ROMs, I would create the '/sys/class/graphics/fb0/scale' file with a value of 95. Is this still valid ?

I am unable to create the 'scale' file. It does not exist. Looks like /sys is mounted rw, but it is not allowing me to create the file.

                      /sdcard <= (any_bigger_than_8gb_device)

                      ROM works fine with kernel_AP6210_FHD.
I'd installed my noname gamepads through /sys/usr/keylayout .
I need now to connect my real sdcard to /sdcard to install big games.
                      Also i want have an
opportunity to connect usb-hdd to /sdcard to have MORE GAMES.
And i miss the volume control buttons.

not sure what devices I can install this on...

I tried to flash my UGoos UM2 but it errored out during the flash (check download). Is it reasonable to think I can use this rom on this device?

Also am wondering... If I have an 2GB / 8GB device, wouldn't I need an 8GB parameter file?

Bazmamfoo, please be kind enough to point out this discussion. I read through the thread but did not find anything. The only relevant comment was that there is something in 'settings', but could not find anything in 'settings'.
