It works fine for me except metadata wont wipe or restore as it wont mount. I manually formatted metadata to ext4 and then TWRP would mount it but it still wont wipe (format) it. Not sure why either.

So you know the TV stick kernels are not using this area. It does not show up in the mount command like KK for tablets does. I believe this area is used for multi-user and encryption and TV sticks have yet to implement multi-user on KK.

After KK installation on my CS968 v3 (mtk ,rk3188 not T but it works on 1.4 GHz) is only the boot logo and nothing happens, I've tried different kernels and still nothing

I believe yes because it has got the same hardware of other famous mini PCs, but I'm not sure.

Help me please, i have a mk908II, with NEOMODE's app says its real RK3188, but in kitkat finless 2.0, with no kernel i was able to get more than 1.4ghz. Can anyone tell me why, or witch kernel should i use? Thanks.

Hello,

I had the same issue and posed the question on another forum. I was simply told if it quacks like a duck and walks like a duck then it's probably a duck. I do wish however that I could find out for sure to help with testing other types of ROMS. The DMESG file also shows nothing but the full RK3188 on my system as well.

I look forward to testing D33 fixed program for checking on chipset types.

i tried the rom on my mk802iv ap6210. i found everything good, except one critical thing! antutu 3d score with everyoced kernel i tried goes only from 1200 with 798mhz to 1100 with 400mhz! don't know why! any ideas? bob what do you think? thanks!

I fixed the boot loop problem affecting a few models last week. I'll post a new set of kernels when I get chance

installed on egreat cx919 works great !!

many thanks to mr bob for this rom, took me 3 days, 5 different computers, and a lot of hair pulling to get this rom installed. problem was couldn't get any computer to even detect device it was as though it didn't exist. Finally read that the original usb cable could have a longer metal socket than normal usb cables, seeing as i bought quite a few things together i didn't know which was the original usb but when i checked the one i was using was shorter than some of the others that i had. After than had no problem installing drivers on windows 7 and 8.0 though not on 8.1 still cant get it to install drivers on there. Been playing around with it all day don't see any problems, at first the image was too big for screen size using it on LG 3D 47" smart tv, went into reading about DPI settings and how to change them then found that zoom out worked , sometimes we make problems bigger than they are.
Anyway thanks to all you guys here for all the work you do.
I also bought the egreat rk3188 U8 tv box anybody know if there are roms out for that or which forum i should be looking in for them.

Thanks, i will try them tomorrow on Finless 2.0 MK908II, but can you tell me please how to identify if i have T model or standard! On Finless 1.5a i can overclock to 1.8/600/667 but i cant run Antutu, it's rebooting, although i can use it for something else!
