Hy!
the FINLESS 2.0 ROM work well on my MK809IV.
I'm trying it with stock kernel but antutu result is around 12.500...
Wi-fi and Bluetooth works correctly on my device (mk809iv with blue motherboard)
In this rom are missing volume buttons and power off button, is this true?
Thanks to FINLESS for his rom!

I'm getting lots of visual distortions using any kitkat ROM. I've tried both a928 and this build with many kernels. Result is the same, I even get black blocks playing video in rkvideo player. Attached example.

And that on a device that I suspect to have a T variant SoC.
Keep up the good work!
Thank you!
Can you help me out. I'm also running a model T and have not been able to get the performance you are. I have this ROM installed. I have been trying all types of kernels, but have yet to find one to get my CPU past 1.4Ghz. Can you provide what kernel you used?

Thanks for the great rom. It solved some problems for me with the Dutch 'Uitzending Gemist' app that performs very poorly on 4.2. This is a nice improvement. It was a bit of a hassle to get everything working on my CX 919-II stick bought from Dutch Ibood at the start of the year, but the following combination was winning for me:
- Finless Beta 2.0 ROM (From this thread)
- AP6210-J22 kernel SD for the T model from the Kitkat Kernels for all thread: http://www.freak-tab.de/d33/AP6210-J22_v207.zip
- Bob's boot.img patch (without it would hang at a Finless 1.7 / minix splash screen)
Minor problems that have been noted already:
- Webcam not working
- Volume buttons go from no volume to full volume, no stepping.
Not noted yet in this thread I think:
- Cifsmanager doesn't quite work: It claims it can mount my SMB share, but it doesn't show up; this seems to have something to do with filename namespaces that are per process (I didn't delve into this.) in more recent Android versions.
But all in all it works pretty well for me now. So thanks for all the hard work!

In the original ROM kit I messed up the 4gb and 6gb parameter files.
The 4gb file would hang on 4 penguins and the 6gb file was only 4gb.
So I uploaded a new ROM kit with fixed 4gb and 6gb files.
The new ROM kit file name is now:
ap6210_kitkat_finless20_beta2.zip
Link below also updated.
If you downloaded the old ROM kit and want to use 4gb or 6gb then no need to re-download it all. Just download the correct parameter files here:

Hey all, with the release of a KitKat 4.4.2 BETA ROM by Tronsmart for AP2610 devices, I decided to work on a ROM based on this for you all.
While I built and tested this on my CX-919 it should also work for the following devices:
CX-919, MK908-II, GM282, GK525, iMito QX2, IPPLI Mars I2C
I find this ROM to be pretty good! I like it honestly.
But I have not tested everything thus why it is called a BETA ROM.
Use at your own risk!
NOTE: YOU MUST FLASH THE BOOT LOADER (RK3188Loader(L)_V2.08.bin) WITH THIS ROM! If you don't you will be bricked!
If you decide to go back to 4.2.2 ROMs you MUST flash the loader for that not this new one!

Special notes about the stock ROM and my ROM.
Currently the stock kernel is 720P thus 1080P videos will be upscaled.
The way I have been patching kernels to 1080P on 4.2.2 will not work. Even though this is a 3.0.36+ kernel, it is very different!
We expect to fix this soon as sources become available.
Also I cannot tell if this has frame skipping. To me it seems it plays video differently.
Your going to have to judge that yourself.

Features and release notes for my 2.0 ROM:
1) Properly rooted using SuperSU. What does properly mean?
Android 4.4.2 requires SU to be running as a daemon now. There are many ways to run this as a daemon.
Most roots so far are using a install-recovery.sh script or if init.d is enabled, a init.d script.
This means you could loose root if messing with these scripts which some rooted apps do!
What I have done is started the daemon in init.rc thus eliminating the need for boot scripts!
This took me a while to learn to do! Enjoy a BETTER ROOT!
2) Stock ROM was only 1 Gig of APP space.
BUT you also have parameter file options!
There are also 1gb, 2gb, 4gb and 6gb options.
Read below for how to change that in the flash tool.
I made the default 2GB
3) Debloated of junk APPs and Google Apps you can get from Google Play.
There was quite a few useless hidden apps in this kitkat release! Some of them did not even work.
I also updated Google Play and required Google APPs to the latest versions.
4) As always, full init.d support! If you do not know what that is... ignore it. For geeks that want to use it. It is there!
This time around due to updated security in 4.4, init.d was a lot harder to get working.
Again I had to figure it out!
5) I dumped the crappy modified kitkat launcher that was in this and used the AOSP stock kitkat launcher.
This gives you the transparent status bars back.
6) Rotation is enabled in this ROM. I have not figured out yet how to kill that.
Thus when you run a game or things like Antutu, the screen will rotate on graphics.
I have supplied in this rom a rotation locker APP.
You can turn it on and even set it to run at boot to lock rotation to landscape.
7) Calendar app was not working. I replaced it with the AOSP Google Calendar APP.
8) Build.prop edit to open up the Google Play store to APPs that normally say "not compatible".
I am spoofing a Samsung device that will show almost any APP as compatible.
Your device will show up in google play as Samsung device not a CX-919 or RKSDK! Understand this please.
I also left the original build.prop in the ROM called build.orig.
If you want to go back, just use ES FIle Explorer or a root file explorer and rename build.prop to build.old
Then rename build.orig to build.prop.
Go into settings, apps, all and go into the Google Play app. Clear the cache and data.
Reboot! You should be back to showing up as a 908.
WARNING if you do this, you need to be using the 1080 kernel or your screen will be oversized!
9) I added a reboot APP that will allow optional reboot options like reboot to bootloader (flash mode).
10) Other tweaks I usually do for performance on all my ROMs.
11) Kernel choices:
Special thanks to Freaktab user phjanderson for his match-o-matic script.
I am supplying a full set of OC kernels for you.
All of them have the following:
5 steps for CPU control.
5 steps for GPU control
2 DDR steps.

You have to use D33's kitkat kernel, it has the T check routine removed.
Download the kernel that has your bt / wifi driver, and patch it with pjhanderson's Perl script.
My confirmed T (replaced the heatsink and looked at the soc) is now running at 1800 Mhz, 19726 antutu points with just the CPU overclocked.
Enjoy and good luck.

I'm happy I have at least got to the 1.6Ghz that was marketed on the package when I bought it.

The system is also running faster and I have an improved AnTuTu score. Which table values did you use to get 1.8Ghz to work? I tried loading the 1800 file kernel, but it wouldn't boot on my system, it just sat there at a black screen.

Thanks again.
I only removed the profiles I don't use anyway.
I guess you could try to up the voltage a little in the 1800 Mhz profile if you have extra cooling.
More voltage should make it more stable but be very very carefull as you could fry your chip.
Keep in mind all SoC's are slightly different some can handle higher frequencies some don't...
Don't bother trying to overclock ram/gpu as it doesn't work, or you could try it and do a dmesg | grep freq and see for yourself.
I'm guessing there's something in the kernel preventing us from upping the ram/gpu but I'm no dev so I don't have enough knowledge to figure out what...
I'm trying to get a response from D33 regarding this but I guess he's busy. (he probably has a life so yeah, I keep hoping though.)

BrickedPlease help!
I was flashing (for the first time after much reading) this ROM using "Finless Flash ROM 1.37" with defaults, on my GM282 from Geekbuying.com, and got an error. After that no matter what I tried, it is now stuck at "Download IDB failed". See the attached screenshot.
I also tried erasing the NAND several times and also flashing with the RKBatchTool and also the RKAndroidTool (which did not recognize the rockchip at all). Same error.
I also tried flashing stock ROM from geekbuying.com but still the error persists.
So it IS bricked, I assume. Would it be the bootloader that is not compatible with my GM282 (or CX919 II)?
I will try to follow the steps here to unbrick it but before that I have some questions:
1. Should the pin shorting be done when the stick is plugged in with the OTG or the power micro/mini usb port?
2. I read somewhere about flashing NAND 4 times after pin shorting, is that true?
3. And is the procedure NAND specific, or is same for all NANDs with Rockchip Rk3188?
4. Should the stick be connected to PC when pin shorting?
Help me please!! Looking for answers to above or any other advise...Tronsmart Orion R68 Meta
