I also tried erasing the NAND several times and also flashing with the RKBatchTool and also the RKAndroidTool (which did not recognize the rockchip at all). Same error.

I also tried flashing stock ROM from geekbuying.com but still the error persists.

So it IS bricked, I assume. Would it be the bootloader that is not compatible with my GM282 (or CX919 II)?

I will try to follow the steps here to unbrick it but before that I have some questions:
    1. Should the pin shorting be done when the stick is plugged in with the OTG or the power micro/mini usb port?
    2. I read somewhere about flashing NAND 4 times after pin shorting, is that true?
    3. And is the procedure NAND specific, or is same for all NANDs with Rockchip Rk3188?
    4. Should the stick be connected to PC when pin shorting?

Help me please!! Looking for answers to above or any other advise...
If you've had a problem first blame your USB cable. I've found 9/10 times it's a crappy USB cable with high resistance that causes errors flashing. Thankfully I've never had to short pins myself - I've been lucky enough to have mine mysteriously find its way into mask ROM mode by multiple connection disconnection attempts.

Sent from my mobile device. Please excuse any typos.

Yes, I thought so, so I was trying with the USB cable that came with it and other chinese USB cables I had. Let me try today with a cable that came with my Nexus 4. That should be of good quality.

Sounds like a good plan! I personally always use short 2ft Samsung USB cables when I flash as I know they have low resistance and always flash successfully.

My Samsung cables are always faulty after some months. Not the best mechanical quality. Now I use nylon cables which are better.

Mechanical quality sucks indeed, they wear out and don't stay in after many uses however I've had 0 flash issues with them. (Which makes sense because samsung's kies bootloader is incredibly sensitive to USB cable quality)

Greetings! My LG USB cable also did not help to flash the ROM in this thread. So I had to crack open the Cx 919 II and short the pin 8-9 of the NAND. After that the flash of stock ROM did go well without issues!!

So the question remains if the boot loader in this ROM is incompatible with my CX 919 II. I have attached a snapshot of the board.

Anyone with similar board has success with this ROM, before I retry?

I need to get a good ROM/Kernel to avoid the choppy videos that I see now. I saw someone mentioning 20000+ with some other ROM?

I scored 22064 yesterday, but I have a regular CX-919. I use the Finless 2.0 ROM with latest v207 kernel.

Is it the KK version? And is your board similar to mine? Mine (GM282) seems to be 909 underneath.

d33, great work with all your roms. I have flashed finles 2.0 with all your kernels including the one you just posted i.e. 3.0 (also i see 3.10 in progree - will try that as well). But I have been getting this flashing/flickering hdmi issues with all sort of roms/kernel i have tried. It seems there is a solution but for linux: https://www.miniand.com/forums/forum...-solved?page=1

Can you please prepare a kernel with above fix for android only? Pls pls pls ?? BTW I have a MK908 II T-variant of the stick.

I know its a kernel issue coz while its booting up, it flashes, while in recovery mode it flashes so it has to be a kernel issue. Waiting for your reply.

aah i have tried all of your 3 versions of 6210 T variant both SD and HD, none seem to fix it. Flashes from the get go i.e. boot logo screen.

d33, is there a kernel set to 1.8v for finless 1.5a rom (4.2.2)? I feel for me 1.5 has less flickering/flashing than 2.0. So i am thinking giving that a try?
