In the ROM descriptions Riley wrote "english language".
But after i enter the pin of my SIM the language of the tablet switches to my locale language (german).
Just for information because it was for me a little bit important to have my locale language later in the final ROM. But in this "beta" it doesn't annoy me - but now its even better

Thank you for posting this. I also want to use this rom, but can I switch it to dutch/Netherlands? Can someone please confirm?

Hello all!

First of all I would like to thank Riley for his work on this community and also to all of you that somehow contributed.

I was away from this community for a couple of months and I would like to ask for your help.
I read some of the opinions of this KitKat ROM and I liked the pros of it, GPS is not a problem so I'm thinking of installing it. But there are any other, let's say "issue" with this KitKat ROM that I missed?

Also, any of you are using a modified kernel? I tried to search in the Modified kernel thread, but it is a mess :/

From what I've heard the GPS is the main issue with this KitKat. You otherwise should see a performance boost.

I haven't seen many custom kernels for this tablet. But the scripts are available to roll your own.

I just installed your rom and I cant get the WiFi to work. It just keeps searching and if I enter manually it says its out of range. PLZ help me

Hi all, by mistake, I stupidly deleted the cifs.ko from the system /lib/modules folder. Can anyone post the CIFS.ko from that 2.5.2 package please?

I'm not Riley and he'll probably give you the wisdom of his experience later.
BUT for what it's worth....
I had various issues with the my first load of 2.5.2. I found the following:
Make sure the battery is fully charged.
START OVER.
Download and unzip again (to a different directory).
Follow the instructions EXACTLY (remember to remove the memory card).
When the load finishes the final check step; DON'T DO ANYTHING.
After the tablet boots, leave it alone, completely alone.
Go get a cup/glass/bottle of your favorite drink.
Leave the tablet alone.
After you have finished a bottle or 2 (in my case 3) Cycle through Boot up and then after a few minutes Power off. Resist opening or loading Apps. KitKat appears to need a couple of cold reboots.

At next Power on, you will find that KitKat has done all of its internal dances.
GPS won't work; cameras may/may not work, WIFI worked for me on 3rd try.....
Remember it is a BETA.....YOU WILL LOVE IT!!

Multi-Window Feature??

Does anyone know if this custom ROM has the Multi-Window feature in it? I recently upgraded to a new custom ROM for kitkat and I've lost the feature. Can't seem to find anywhere if this rom has it. Or iif it doesnt, if anyone knows a custom rom that has it that would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!!

after an update with RileyROM 2.5.2 KitKat, i must to press constantly the power switch to start the tablet and keep it on, else the tablet is off, and when the tablet is started, to press on the screen does nothing.

Strange, I just installed it on Sunday, worked Perfect. I would redo the install.
Did you erase the IDB and remove any SD cards before you installed?
After you did the flash, did you leave the tablet alone, not even disconnect it from your PC until it fully boots up?
