This is weird, but I had to put 1704Mhz/1450mV to get safe stability on my device since it was having random system reboots when OC tests were running... now my question is:

How much voltage (mV) is safe to put in cpu-freq without frying the device ?...

Is it safe to put a greater voltage than 1450mV?... 1500mV?... beyond ?...

    Greetings.

If you read D33's recent comments, he made a mistake with this current release and will clock the next update at 1.6GHZ.

Based on my experience, that will allow BeyondXBMC to work smoothly. I don't think Gotham will present any improvement at 1.4GHZ, but feel free to report back if I'm wrong.
MX Player was able to play 1080p smoothly, so I think hardware decoding (with MX Player Neon codec) was playing a role here. I will still try Gotham release tonight and report back.

D33, thanks for confirming the 1.4GHz clock speed.

I will try the Gotham release today. (I was having issues setting up Mashup/Fusion on Gotham earlier.)

          D33,

With the DMESG, would you be able to tell if the CPU/GPU/RAM oc worked on my CS968M? I will grab it tonight for you.
This is from the XDA thread (posted by Flumpster aka the Beyond XBMC dev):

Beyond XBMC does not support Hardware Acceleration on Kitakat roms on Rockchip devices but I am not sure with the OUYA as it is a Tegra 3.

You are in the best position to find this out. Install the OUYA version first and try some 720p local content, if it is smooth then all is good, if not then try the normal version. If it is still not smooth then it is not compatible with kitkat on the OUYA either.

          Here's a link to the thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...2655622&page=4
Look at the last post on that page.

Fusion works on Gotham BUT keep in mind they've changed the Python engine making some plugins incompatible.

          Edit:

forgot to mention on my CX919 the audio is a little out of sync with Gotham, this can be fixed by offsetting the sound 250 ms earlier.

Thanks for sharing that! Good to know flumpster will work on the Gotham release to make it better! But sad that 3.4 version would be last of Beyond XBMC on Frodo

Yes, have seen issues with Gotham betas when I was testing earlier.

              You're welcome.

Gotham is now finally released as a stable build and like I said before: I'm pretty happy with it, all my favorite plugins work.

You can download the stable build here: http://mirrors.xbmc.org/releases/and...rmeabi-v7a.apk

Read D33's second post from this thread.
Use this script: http://www.freak-tab.de/d33/overclockomatic_kk.zip to generate your own OC kernels, it's really easy.
BUT, it needs perl to run as it is a Perl-script, I'm doing all my patching in a Linux VM, easy peasy.

                  Hi d33,
Have tried V4.2 again, but for 6210 instead of 8188 which is appropriate to my K-R42 board.
                  It boots hardly and shows:

                    OC'ed kernel here

For all the people having problems with generating the OC'ed kernels, here you go:

This is the v4.1 TVSTICK AP6210 SD full OC suite.
                    Use at your own risk!

                    Enjoy!

just to draw attention ive dicovered the nand reset pins for mask rom on the mk908II im not saying what they are till ive spoke to the devs because theres things i want to confirm first. It allowed me to enter maskrom mode and format nand apparently.

This is odd. I'm creating kernels that boot at 1.6 GHz CPU / 600 GPU / 720 MHz DDR and they crash at 1% on the Antutu test. This hasn't happened before, I know my test box (RK3188T CX321b) is capable of 1.8 / 600 /800 stable normally.

I don't want to publish the series if they are unstable.

Can you test this one and see if it works for you. Full antutu test on T kernels needed - forgot wifi

Antutu works nice for me with this kernel. After 3 times no problems at all. Score is about 20k.
With this kernel i have the reboot problem again.

                                Hi,

it took me a while to be able to look into it again.

First thing I can say is that the webcam has no brightness issues with my desktop PC (kernel 3.14.3)

                                So this leaves two possibilities:
                                1. there is some endianess related bug in the uvc driver
                                2. Some patches between 3.0.36 and 3.14.3 make the change.

So my approach is to look at all the USB and v4l pull requests from 3.0.36 till 3.14.3. Will the new kernel also be based on 3.0.36 or a newer version?

Oh and what android image are you using, cause mine suffers from extensive flickering right now.

                                Thank you
                                Jens
