Neomode Custom Rom MK809III Version 3.1 Android 4.4.2 *Update*

This is the same one I have. Bought it on **** and that is the wifi and everything I have. If Neomode gets an update for this one, that would be so great. Other android roms work but none have had wifi so not much point in running that.

Nope I have released yesterday a new Rom for MK802IV Old Wi-Fi.
Next Rom will be AP6210 Wi-Fi Version.

Just out of curiosity, how is the Rom for the 809iii you picked up with the RTL8723bs wifi chipset going? I am so looking forward to that. Be nice to actually have my wifi working with a newer OS version. Thanks for all your great work.

I am wondering the same thing. I just recently purchased a new MK809III and discovered it had the rtl8723BS wifi chipset and was sad to find out none of the NEOMODE roms work with wifi/BT on this unit

Hi all.

First of all, thanks Neomode for the ROMs for our devides, that is an awesome work.

I am testing this rom in my MK809III device. it booted as it should, but it seems my wifi doesn't work. I go to the "about device" and it says "baseband version unknown". Means that I need to test other ROM? Is my Wifi chip wrong?

Any help would be more than welcome.

color space issue

Hi neomode,

thanks for your time and work on making custom roms, are you aware of the color space issue. When playing videos the black and white levels are crushed. It would be cool if you can fix this issue in your next release. Thanks

To all having issues with webcam dark video/image, I recently discovered that Exposure Compensation now has to be used in KitKat or you get dark video/image. Before in Jelly Bean a 0 value was ok and webcams worked OK, now I had to set my Exposure Compensation to the max (3 in the program im using) and requested the developer of the app to add 4 and 5, since it's still a bit dark and it wants to correct lighting by darkening even more. Just FYI... If the app doesn't have Exposure Compensation I would suggest you contact the developer of the app so they can add it to correct this issue. Using this rom, I have everything working great! Thanks Neo!

walter77 has fixed this issue in his roms by using a newer hdmi driver. Maybe neomode could use the same driver in his next release.

i installed this version on my MK802IV and everything works great..
when the next AP6210 version will be ready i'll defiantly give it a try.

you can install this version with d33 kernels
on the kernel choosing, only the 4.1 no gpu worked for me.

Yeah some sticks are very picky about what they are going to let you run in the kernel department.
