[ROM] QUICKSHOT V3.1 by The Nitro Team for Minix Neo X7

Hi, just a couple of questions.

1) Is it confirmed that the front blue light works with this ROM?

2) Is it confirmed that the Microphone jack works with the ROM?

If anyone knows the answers to these, I would greatly appreciate it! Thanks in advance =)

1. Yes the blue light works, and when you suspend the device it blinks.
2. No, it don't works, of you know a rom where it works, please tell me.

Microphone was working with Minix rom (v9 I believe). My mic have a preamp. Have not try with this ROM yet.

Leolas: Mic Jack In works perfectly in Neo X7 with Stock 008 , 009 & I guess 010 FW; in Kitkat Miracle v 1.1 as well. Stock sound recorder application can be used to test it.

I think it not work in this rom, but I need to test it, I will try to check tomorrow.

I cant seem to find the option to turn off mouse clicks and wondered if you had added a keyboard map for the Measy RC12 as a few of the keys seem flaky...power, internet button and search buttons dont work.

Hi been running qs3.1 for weeks now with no major issues
but today I did a reboot and now I'm unable to turn on wifi
can anyone help me with this?

Just as BTR11 states, the microphone in does work in the Miracle 1.1 rom. I would be amazing if you got that running!

Cannot display Thai filename? might be a locale setting required?

I'm wondering there is any setting (e.g. change locale) that I could display Thai filename? (when I use file manager app to see the files, it displays "?????" and all apps could not read the files (but when I use Mac or Windows they could display filename correctly).. Please advise, thank you.

The ROM isn't set to go to sleep... so there isn't a need for that option. The included XBMC does have a screensaver if that is what you are asking about... look in the Appearance setting for that.

I really used the system sleep function from QS2 (I watch Netflix and Youtube as well, which don't have XMBCs screensaver). Can anyone recommend a way (or app) that I can get a system wide idle sleep timer back?

I can't seem to find anything that turns the system to sleep mode (like the power button does on the default Minix controller that no one uses )

I thought the Reboot app would be my saving grace but with all it's different type of reboots and power off options, sleep isn't one of them.

And thanks for QS3.1! So far it's pretty awesome!

i have bought my x7 today and connected to my samsung monitor with HDMI cable. the monitor max resolution is 1680x1050.
The resolution available in settings iz onli 1080p and 720p and with either resolutions the image is fuzzy and blur.. looks bad.
with this ROM you can have de 1050p resolution of my monitor/tv?

Will QS V3.1 solve these two problems?

Hi guys,

I've a relatively new Minix X7 which I upgraded to official 1080p version of FW10 and it seems to be working fine with the exception of two issues:-

1. I use it with the Minix A2 air mouse and from time to time it reverts to sound via the air mouse requiring me to get into settings and reset back to passthrough as I'm using an Onkyo Amp.

2. I can't get the 4OD to work no matter what. I have set up an account with a UK post code and address etc and whilst I can see the schedule and select programs to watch as soon as it does to play the program I get two errors i.e. it tells me to restart the box and try again or it says it can't play the selected program.

Will flashing QS V3.1 address these two issues? Should I flash QS 3.1 anyway? I'm pretty new to the X7 so it's not clear to me what advantages QS 3.1 has over the official 1080p FW V10. I've looked at the feature list at the top of the thread but I can't figure out from that what features QS 3.1 has which 1080p FW10 doesn't.

there was an app, more locale I think, that add some locale files, don't know if this is one of tgem

sorry but to build this rom we don't use minix sdk, They don't have kitkat yet, so we used a generic sdk, when minix publish his sdk we can implement new functions like sleep from it, but I think if you use the stock little remote, and push power shortly you can sleep the X7 and the led will blink, if someone can test... I don't have access to the X7 now.

1. A2 is a good remote, but his speaker is a pain in the ass, we got that selection go to hdmi output instead the A2, but not to passthrough.
2. There are specific apps designed only for a few devices I don't know if 4OD works with this rom, I don't know what that app and never used it. Maybe some users can help.
This rom is completely different from minix 010 or other minix official firmwares, first, is kitkat, officials are jb, for me kitkat is a little more responsive and smooth that jb. In the firsts post there is a features list.

You are correct... when you use the power button on the stock remote... it sleeps and the blue led does blink.
